Double or Nothing

I've had a lot of time to reflect on things while I've been recovering these past couple of months. I got to spend a lot of family time and I really needed that. I spent so much time with Emma which was amazing. She's not a little girl anymore she's 14 now so I need to enjoy the time I have with her before she's too cool to hang out with dad. I did a lot of soul searching while I was gone and today was the day I made my decision about the rest of my life. I went over to the PC today to meet with Triple H.

Triple H: Oliver, how are you feeling?

Oliver: Not bad really, I'm glad to finally be off the crutches though they were a real pain in the ass.

Triple H: I'm glad you're doing good. I like the new look, and those tattoos are pretty bad ass.

Oliver: Thanks, I've always wanted to try the long hair thing out and once my beard started growing in I realized how cool it looked so I kept it.

Triple H: So what did you want to talk to me about?

Oliver: So I've had a lot of time to think. I loved this business ever since I was a kid. I've given a lot to wrestling and it has taken away everything from me. I now hate the thing that I once loved. What I'm trying to say is that I want to be released from my contract. I can't do this anymore.

Triple H: Are you sure that's what you want Oliver?

Oliver: I've thought it over a lot these past few days and I think that this is what's best for me. I'm sure one day I'll be back but for right now I just think it's best I take a while off.

Triple H: Well Oliver I wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors.

Oliver: Thank you so much for everything.

Triple H: Oliver, you're a good kid. I know you're going through things right now and you need to find yourself. Just know the door is always open for you.

Oliver: Thanks Hunter.

Triple H and I share a hug and then we shake hands.

Triple H: Go spend time with your family Oliver.

Oliver: Thank you.

I'm sitting in my back yard by the pool drinking a beer and reflecting on life. I grab my phone and send out a tweet.

@oliverpiercewwe: Today was another rough day for me. I made a very tough decision today. I decided to walk away from the thing that I loved the most because it became the thing that I hated the most. I asked for my release from the WWE today and as of this moment I'm no longer going to be wrestling. I'd like to thank everyone who I've come in contact during these past few years.

Fourth of July is tomorrow so I went to Georgia so I can spend it with Emma, Brittany, Steven, and Ashley. We had a blast we spent the day at the beach and then we went home and lit off a bunch of fireworks. After we had settled in for the night I received a call from a number I wasn't familiar with, when I answered it I was shocked to find out that I was speaking with Tony Khan. He wanted to meet with me tomorrow about joining AEW, I took him up on the offer and headed to Jacksonville in the morning to meet with him.

Tony: Oliver Pierce it's an honor to meet you. I'm a huge fan.

Oliver: Thank you, I appreciate that.

Tony: Let's go to my office so we can talk business.

I followed Tony over to his office, once we got there I was a little bit shocked to see Cody Rhodes waiting for us.

Tony: Oliver, I'd like you to meet Cody Rhodes.

Oliver: Cody, it's a pleasure.

Cody: The famous Oliver Pierce, my father always talked about. He always talked about how much potential you had. Hell he talked about you so much I thought he was going adopt you.
