Chapter 10: Family

Y/N's POV 

"What are you two doing here?"
I asked them as I looked at them. 

Alyssa: Ozpin called us and told us what happened. 
She said as she looked at me. 

"Oh..."
I said as I looked at her. 

Asuka: We need to talk. 
She said before dragging me into my dorm. 

The one place I've never went back into. 

The memories. 

Them. 

Tony. 

Chris. 

Sarah. 

Third Person POV 

As Asuka dragged Y/N into the room, Coco and Velvet looked at each other before hearing the door closed. 

Coco: Well....That was...

Velvet: Awkward. 
She said as she twiddles with her fingers. 

To Y/N 

Asuka: How come you haven't called us about this. 
She said as she looks at him. 

Y/N looked down as Asuka continues to berate him about his condition. 

Alyssa: Asuka. Calm down. No need to berate him on this. 
She said as she looked at him. 

Asuka: But he should have called us. 
She said as she looked at her. 

Alyssa: And how much help would have come to Y/N if we were here.
She said to her. 

Asuka: Hey. Are you going to answer. 
She said as Y/N continued to look down. 

Alyssa: Asuka. 
She said with a huff. 

Asuka: Tell me Y/N! 
She yells. 

Y/N doesn't answer as he looked down before sending memories of his first few days of him being paralyzed. 

Asuka: Oh my god. 
She said as she covers her mouth. 

Asuka: I'm so sorry.
She said as she hugs him tightly. 

Alyssa looks at them as she stood there. 

Alyssa: Hope you get well Y/N. 
She said to herself. 

To Ozpin 

Ozpin: I'm glad you all could make it. 
He said as he looked at team RWBY, Pyrrha, Coco, and Velvet. 

Ruby: Why did you call us for?
She asked as she looked at him. 

Ozpin: I called you all to check up on him.
He said as he sits in his chair. 

Yang: Oh. He's doing better than the last few weeks. 
She said as she smiles. 

Ozpin: Has he? 
He asked as he looked at the others. 

Ruby and the others nod as they look at him. 

Ozpin: I see. If this all goes well, we could probably start the surgery. 
He said as he looked at them. 

Ruby: How well happen? 
She asked. 

Ozpin: The surgery? 

Ruby: Yes. 
She said as she looked at him. 

Ozpin: Well...short answer yes. 

Weiss: What's the long answer? 
She asked. 

Ozpin: Well for this work, the tech Ironwood got for us must be attached to his damaged spinal cord. 
He said as he looked at them. 

Blake: Wouldn't that hurt? 

Ozpin: Yes. That is the reason why I asked if he is in a better mental state than he was before. 
He said as he looked at them. 

Weiss: So the tech could help him walk like before? 

Ozpin: Correct. Although it'll take him some time to get use to it after. 

Velvet: Y-You sure h-he'll be able to walk like before? 
She asked. 

Ozpin: I'm sure it will Ms Scarlatina. 

Ruby: So when do you think its a good time for him to get it? 
She asked him. 

Ozpin: Hopefully in three 3 weeks. If not ready by then, we can wait til he feels better. 
He said as he looks at them. 

Blake: We'll help him. 

Ruby: Yeah! 

Coco and the others nods as they smile. 

Ozpin: That is all. Thank you girls. 

Ruby and the others nod before walking out of the room. 

Ozpin: Hopefully this goes well. 
He said to himself. 

To Raven 

Raven walked through her tribe as many of its member looked at her before she entered her tent. As she walked into her tent, she saw her friend look at her with a dagger in hand. 

???: Where were you? 

Raven: Just checking on someone Vernal. 
She said as she sat down. 

Vernal: I see. 
She said as she looked at her to see a smile. 

Vernal: Hmm. This is the first time I've seen you smile. Why is that? 

Raven: Just this one person caught my interest. 

Vernal: Who is this person? 

Raven: That is a story for another time.
