memory loss (Bucky x reader)

Summary: it was your wedding day and you were gonna marry the love of your life Bucky, but then you get into a car crash on your way there and you went into a coma and got a bad head injury from it and so you when you wake up You lose your memory and don't remember the avengers, everything that happened in your life and most of all Bucky which he goes insane after and it's up to him and everyone to help you get your memory back.

Warmings: angst, some violence, upset Bucky, kinda dark but fluff at the end

You woke up bright and early at 5:30 am, you were so excited because it was gonna be the happiest day of your life, it was the day of your wedding day, the day you were gonna marry the love of your life Bucky Barnes.

You jumped out of bed and went to take a shower, you woke really early so you got some time to get ready and maybe even practice your vows. You got done with your shower and changed into your beautiful wedding dress, the dress was a lacy mermaid style dress and with a long flowy vale.
You looked into the mirror and immediately thought of your future with Bucky, how many children you will have, your honeymoon to Romania and how happy you will be with him, you also thought of the first time you met and fell in love, your first date, first kiss, and the day he got down on one knee.

You were an avenger for a few years now and not long after Steve brought in Bucky who was his best friend had been in hydra for years, being tortured and turned into the winter soldier. The moment you layed your eyes on him Something felt different inside you, Bucky still was struggling with nightmares and every night you would lay next to him and comfort him and from that you became great friends and eventually fell in love with each other and dated for about 3 years. One day on valentines day Bucky took you to a very fancy restaurant and danced with you on the roof top, looking at the beautiful pink sunset and then went on one knee and proposed to you. You were engaged for a year and that whole year you were planning your dream wedding and your beautiful future together.

You went down to the kitchen for breakfast and you were greeted by your bridesmaids, Natasha and wanda. Natasha and wanda were like sisters to you and the three of you became so close to where the moment Bucky asked you to marry him you wanted them to be your bridesmaids.
"the bride has arrived!" Natasha greeted you "you looked so beautiful Y/N" wanda added "thanks ladies I can't believe this is happening" you responded "are you ready to became Mrs Y/N Barnes?" Natasha asked "I'm so ready but kinda nervous" you responded, You sat down at the table and started eating your heart shaped
Blueberry pancakes.

*Bucky's POV*

I got changed into my black suit and then combed my long hair, I looked into the mirror and smiled thinking of my future with my soon to be wife Y/N and how beautiful she's gonna look.
I loved Y/N since the day I came to the tower and layed my eyes on her, I was nervous at first but then I knew she was the one for me and she was only one in the world other than Steve to accept me for who I am and told me I wasn't a monster.
I am so excited to marry Y/N and but I am also nervous because one of my biggest fears is losing Y/N and if something happened I would go insane and blame myself.
*End of Bucky's POV*

Natasha and wanda went ahead to the church where the ceremony was at and it was just you at the tower.

You went into your car and started driving off on your way to wedding.
The whole time on your way there you were memorizing your vows, thinking of how handsome Bucky will look and your future together. You noticed a black SUV following you and you had this feeling it was a hydra agent following but you shook those thoughts out and continued driving, turning up the music. Suddenly, as the light turn from red to green and drove
A black SUV crashed into you making your car flip a couple times and went upside down, the next thing you know it you heard sirens and blacked out.

*Bucky's POV*

I was in the chapel waiting for Y/N to walk down and for the wedding to start, Steve stood next to me patted my shoulder "you're a lucky person to have someone like her" Steve said I smiled. Then Nat and wanda came in and whispered something to Steve and then went off into the other room, I smiled excitedly thinking Y/N had arrived and so took a deep breath
And smile at the door waiting for them to open and see my soon to be wife walk down.

*Steve's pov*

Nat and wanda had pulled me in the other room and I expected it to be Y/N arriving and me walking her down the aisle which she asked me to.
"What is it?" I asked "we have some bad news about Y/N" wanda said
"What do you mean? Is she not coming?" I asked confusedly "we don't know how to say this but Y/N got in really bad car accident and is in the hospital" Nat explained starting to cry
"The doctor called and said she might not make it" wanda added while comforting Natasha. I was shocked of what I heard i had a feeling it was hydra agents after Y/N and as I stood there trying to figure out what to do
I started worrying about Bucky, "what about Bucky? He will go insane if he finds out" I said "you're will have to tell him, the doctor said he needs to
Be there as soon as possible...before it's too late" Nat responded. I nodded and went to tell Bucky, Nat and wanda went to the hospital.

*Bucky's POV*

I saw Steve walk threw the doors and I was ready to see my soon to be wife walk down with him but when he walked up to me he didn't look too happy. "Hey Bucky we need to talk it's about Y/N" Steve announced, I started getting worried "is something wrong?" I asked "I don't know how to tell you this and I'm so sorry but um Y/N got into a really bad car accident and is in the hospital, she might not make it" Steve said. The second he told me my whole body went numb
And then I turned from confused to shocked to rage "WHAT!" I screamed
"I'm so sorry buck, we need to get to the hospital as soon as possible before it's too late" Steve said trying to calm me down "no no she can't die we were supposed to get married today!" I started tearing up "we need to get going" Steve patted my shoulder and went ahead of me.

As soon as we pulled up to the hospital I ran out as fast as I can to get to Y/N, I went up to the desk "WHERE IS Y/N! WHAT HAPPENED TO HER!" I screamed startling the nurse "sir please keep calm you will have to wait until the doctor arrives to tell you what happened" the nurse said, I took a deep breath and paced around the waiting room.

The doctor came in "Mr Barnes" he called me I ran up to him and grabbed his shirt "where is Y/N! What happened to her, is she alright?" I asked "she just gotten out of surgery but she's in really critical condition and suffered a bad head injury from the crash and went into the coma, I'm really sorry Mr Barnes" the doctor said "can I see her?" I asked "Yes you can see her, her room is over there" the doctor pointed at the room.

I arrived to Y/N's room and there she was hooked up to so many machines, cuts and bruise all over her body, a breathing tube in her mouth and the the only sound I could hear were the monitors beeping. Steve was talking to a doctor, sam was comforting Natasha and wanda who were crying
"You alright buck?" Steve asked "can I be alone with her please?" I asked, Steve nodded and everyone left with just me in the room with Y/N.

I got a chair and put it next to Y/N's bed and sat next to her holding her hand, I looked at her lifeless body
Just praying she will be okay and wake up "doll please don't leave me, I can't live without you" I said kissing her cold hand "we were supposed to get married doll, our honeymood to Romania, our future children and our life together, please I can't lose you
Y/N don't leave me" I started to cry and rested my head on her stomach
Just praying she would wake up and be okay.
