Summary: the reader screws up a mission and she blames herself and she thinks she's not good enough to be an Avenger so she runs away and the team Looks for her but give up thinking she's dead but it turns out she was kidnapped by hydra and like turned into a weapon and so Bucky after never gotten a chance to go on a date goes to save her and tell her how she's good enough to be an Avenger and it's not her fault.

Part 1 summary: you screw up a mission and you feel ashamed and think you're not good enough to be an Avenger so you leave.

Warnings: angst, maybe mentions of death, blood but cute and fluff in the end

You woke up to the bright sun shining through the window and into your face blinding you "alright I'll get up then" you said to yourself while yawning, You stretched your arms and legs and then got out of bed to take a shower.
After your shower you put on a blue and red striped shirt and some cute blue shorts and then went down to get some breakfast.
As you arrived into the kitchen Bucky, Steve, Sam and Nat were in the kitchen cooking waffles and some bacon you could smell miles away, "good morning guys" you said as you took a plate from the cupboard and dished up some bacon and waffles and made up some coffee "morning Y/N/" they all said "hey buckeroo your little girlfriend is here go give her a kiss" Sam chuckled, Bucky rolled his eyes and you blushed a little "shut up birdo we aren't together" Bucky said back. You and Bucky became very close when you joined the Avengers, whenever he had nightmares you were always up to comfort him and you always made him, he loved the sight of Your Y/E/C and your long Y/H/C, you both have developed feelings for each other but never have had a first date yet and it wasn't official yet.

Everyone had finished eating breakfast and went to do their own thing you and Bucky were still at the table and finishing up your food

You and Bucky were very comfortable with each other but at the same time so shy and awkward with each other
Bucky finally decided to speak up
"Hey uh doll?" Bucky said "yes buck?" You responded "Hey I know we both like each other and um maybe we can finally go you know out to dinner?" Bucky asked nervously "are you asking me out on a date?" You responded "um yea a date you know we can go out to dinner and um maybe go dance like I did in the 40s" Bucky said awkwardly after Bucky was the winter solider and joined the team you and Steve helped him remember more, "I would love to bucky how about tommorow evening" you accepted excitedly

"Everyone gather around! We have an important mission tommorow", Cap said gathered around the lounge
"Alright so for our mission we are needing to go find a hydra base and get some files we will leave early tommorow so suit up and be ready in the morning" Cap announced
You were kinda not wanting to go
You were so hyped up with going out with Bucky, "bucky what about our date?" You asked "it's alright doll we can go after we get back" Bucky smiled.
