Jordan was going to go to the Pugh's house.
She wanted to catch up with them and hadn't spent much time with them since her and Mal began dating.

And to do something else that is probably very stupid.

Propose to Mallory Pugh.

In Jordan's game, she was going to the next level.

Yet why was she doing this?

Most people seemed to approve of the relationship Jordan and Mal had. Yet there was one piece of criticism that always seemed to resurface.

"Can Jordan stay committed to Mal?"

Jordan has heard so many people say this. From Alyssa, to Jessie, to Lindsey to even Mal's dad.

Now, Jordan knew what her stepdad meant when it came to promising forever.
Could she do that?

Well, Jordan wanted to prove that she could.

So she was going to get down. On one knee after nine months of dating. Stupid 21st century, her mom would say. Then they wonder why divorce rates are so high, she would say.

But Cristína wasn't here.

Jordan had now arrived at the Pugh's house.
Knocking on the door, she was greeted by the whole family.
Hugging Brianna and Karen before getting jokingly jibed about how she hadn't grown by Horace, Jordan looked to see one person missing.
"Mal's upstairs." Karen read her mind.
Jordan gratefully smile before she felt a hand on her shoulder.
Turning around to see her girlfriends dad, Jordan was nervous.

"Just to let you know," Horace tapped the side of his nose, "you have our full approval."
"About-oh yeah! Thank you all so much!"
All of Mal's family looked to each other before looking back at Jordan and warning, "If you break Mallory's heart though..."

Jordan put her hands up and the rest of the family roared in laughter before they all hugged again.
This was Jordan's family. These people had always had her back.

"What's all the laughter about?"
Jordan looked up to see Mal coming down the stairs and her jaw nearly hit the floor.
She was stunning, well she always was, but tonight, Jordan was a little bit more blown over than usual.
"N-Nothing. You look amazing Mal."
Jordan cringed at her awkwardness but it was enough to get a bear hug from Mal.

They had dinner and things were going by good. Everyone was laughing, having a good time.
Then Jordan made eye contact with the rest of the family and realised it was her time.
"Mal?" This caught her attention. "Can I speak to you in private?"
Mal looked to her family who were thankfully, not giving anything away.

Jordan took Mal into the garden. It was dark and fairy lights outside illuminated both their faces.

Mal was worried. "What's going on?"
Jordan had to take a deep breath to calm herself down. "This is very hard for me to do-"
Mal's eyes narrowed. "You're breaking up with me?!"
"Mal? What no! Oh my god, I've not even started and I've fucked things up!"
Mal saw her family start to enter the garden and got suspicious.
"What's going on?"
Jordan gave a smile.
"Mal, we've known each other nearly our whole lives. I remember when I asked my mom whether I'd meet something who'd like football like me."
She made direct eye contact with Mal.
"Turns out it's not just football we like. I knew since then that I always wanted to be with you."
Jordan looked away. "I just didn't know how."

"Maybe I can't...promise forever, but I can promise you this ; I'm not one to wear my heart on my sleeve but promise me, when it's comes to our relationship, I'll always be there. Through thick through thin.
We've always done that. Although I guess we now need to continue on a more intimacy level."

"This is sounding like wedding vows," Brianna chuckled.
Jordan realised she needed to get to the point.
Kneeling down on one knee and smiling as Mal instantly gasped, Jordan asked,
"So if I asked you to be my wife...would you accept?"

There was quite a bit of silence which worried Jordan.
This is too soon, She began to worry.

"Did you seriously think I'd say no?"
