It was just after lunch time as I made my way back into the building, getting stopped by Lassiter.

"Yes?" I ask, looking up towards the man.

"Shawn Spencer is here." He bluntly stated, grabbing my arm gently and taking me towards the interrogation room.

"Why is he in here" I asked, finally freeing my arm from his grasp.

"He's our lead suspect"

"Our?" I asked quizzically, "I don't think he's a suspect."

"The guy had a partner." He stated, as we made it up to the door.

"Who?"

"The store manager."

"You think that guy is his partner" I asked, looking him dead in the eyes.

"I don't think, I know." He spoke, ushering me inside the room.

At the table stood Lucy and Shawn. He had brown shaggy hair, a slim face, and light eyes. I watched as he studied everything about me as soon as I entered the room.

"Eye's up here" I stated, seeing that his eyes lingered on my ass a little longer than I expected.

His eyes shot up towards mine and gave me a cheeky smile as I sat down across from him.

"This agent has gotten anyone and everyone to crack" Lassiter proudly spoke, patting my shoulder.

I rolled my eyes and took the folder out of his hand. I flipped through a few of the files and studied Shawn as I did so.

"Mr. Spencer" I asked, sitting down the file.

"Call me Shawn" He quickly interrupted.

"Shawn.." I corrected myself, "Where were you on the last night of the robbery?"

"I was robbing a stereo shop" He said confidently.

I small smirk played on my face, while Lucy held an annoyed expression.

"I wasn't" Shawn laughed, hold his hand up defensively "I don't know? I guess I was doing the same thing you were doing. Not solving crimes."

"You're not helping your case here" Lassiter spoke up behind me.

"Case." He said more as a question. "Wait, I'm actually a suspect?"

"Oh, you are our lead suspect." Lassiter said as he smiled.

"Correction, he is your guys' lead suspect" I spoke up, "Not mine."

"Still?" Lucy asked me.

I looked from Lucy to Shawn. Shawn stared at me back with a little bit of hope in his eyes.

"You guys kind of put me on the spot here." I answered her, "You didn't let me prepare for this interrogation. What I have gathered from Shawn, only after just meeting him, is that he's smart. As soon as a person walks into a room, he studies them, figuring out who they are just from a few details. I read in the file that you just gave me, that he was arrested for stealing a car when he was 18. Yes, technically he has a criminal record, but my mom used to work with his dad. I remember her telling me that exact story. His dad was trying to teach him a lesson about stealing. So, I'm not going to look more into that whole criminal record thing you wrote about" I said turning to Lassiter.

"Thank you" Shawn sighed, "But I helped you catch the guy?"

"He apparently has a partner" I piped up.

"And you want me to catch that guy?" He asked, "When will you guys start pitching in."

"Hey, right now I am defending you" I spoke up, "That could change quickly."
