The Memories (Vampire Knight FanFic)

Chapter One

Time Skipped~

(Kizuko P.O.V>Age 14, Yuki>Age 13, Kanami>Age 11)

I was cooking dinner while Yuki and Kanami was in the living room. I could hear them giggling, making me smile.

"Dinner is almost ready." I stated. I could hear the girls cheered happily.

I look at the clock and sighed deeply. It a quarter til eight O' clock and father still isn't home yet.

I'm getting a little worried. Perhaps I should call him. I suddenly heard a knock at the door.

I lowered the temperature of the stove and head for the door. I opened the door slowly. My eyes widened, surprised.

There was father, but someone else was with him, who I was familiar with. He's a boy with silver hair and lavender colored eyes. He wears my father's jacket as I could see a bit of blood on it.

Why are people coming here with blood?

I could see some officers in the background. Father shows me a sad smile.

"Kizuko, you remembered Zero Kiryu?" He asked and I slowly nodded, "I'll explain everything later,  but please get him cleaned up. I have to go back to the cops." Father leaves with me and Zero alone.

Zero and I hang out with each other since we were children. We trained along with Ichiru, Master Yagari and some mean kid, Kaito.

But school rolled into my life, so I couldn't visit them as often as I could. We write to each other, but it stopped for some reason.

Zero and Ichiru are my friends, almost like my brothers. And his parents were kind and sweet.

Zero remained silent as he stared off into space. My looks saddens...he must have been through a lot.

His eyes drifted to my direction. I followed his direction and found Yuki and Kanami staring at him, frightened.

"Oh! No! It's alright girls," I quickly said, "Yuki go watch the food and Kanami stay in the living room."

They both complied as Yuki takes Kanami's hand and walks away. I turned back to Zero as his look saddens. I then take his hand.

"Follow me." I stated. I escort him to the bathroom. Zero stands there as I open the water from the tub and let it run.

"Let me take off the jacket, okay?" I stated. Zero remains silent as he stares down to the floor.

I slowly removed the jacket and I  gasped. He's completely shirtless and a huge amount of blood stains his neck and all over the side of his bare chest.

I grabbed a cloth and wet it with warm water from the tub.

"Let me know if it hurts." I said. I carefully put the warm wet cloth on him.

Zero jolts a bit at the sensation, but then relaxes as I start to clean off the blood. He's not completely hurt, so I'm glad for that.

It took awhile, but I finally clean off the blood. I gasped as I stare at his neck. I see two puncture wounds and they look very deep.

I stare at Zero as he returns a sadden look to me. Tears were building up in my eyes, but I shook it off.

"I'm sorry..." I hear Zero say. I stare at him surprised.

"I couldn't save everyone," he says, "And I'm so sorry." I shake my head and hugged him.

"Don't be, okay?" I said, holding in tears, "You'll get through this...you'll be just fine." Tears falls off from my eyes.

What he meant...his family is gone...gone forever...

Hours Later~

Zero wears some fresh clothes that father brought in. He decides to stay in the guest bedroom which it's his now.

Father told me the entire story. I cried my eyes out. I wanted to hold Zero and cry these feelings out.

Yuki and Kanami didn't understand why I'm crying, but they tried comforting me anyway.

I told them about Zero and his dead family and how close I was towards them.

I cooked food for Zero, but he didn't eat or I guess he couldn't. There are times I comfort him and they are times that he tries to be distant and quiet.

Kanami also tries to comfort him along with Yuki. Kanami usually comes by his room to give him food and talk to him.

To my surprise, she got Zero to leave his room once in awhile to eat dinner or to just walk around the house.

He wasn't so talkative as I expected, in fact, he seems to be cold and sometimes mean. But I learned that he doesn't hate anyone and the girls understood as well.

Zero became a member of the family, even though it's giving him sometime to adjust.

So I hope...he'll fit in just fine...
