Requested by no one again.

I've been going on dates with this girl that I met at my new job as a reporter at CatCo Worldwide Media, her name is Kara Danvers, cousin of the well known Clark Kent of the Daily Planet.

And today I was meant to meet her at a cafe for another date, but she seems to be a little late.

That was when an explosion shook the ground, my coffee cup falling to the floor as the glass window shattered.

I ran out of the cafe and saw this odd ball of stone in the center of the road. As I approached the rock it started to shift and move, that was when it stood up. It was like I was looking at a giant golem, which had a glowing green stone as a heart.

The golem looked at me, it's eyes glowing green with hunger as it's jaw seemed to shift and morph into a giant hole.

"I am not getting eaten by a fuckin rock today!" I yelled as I sprinted down the street towards a car that had just stopped.

Whoever was in the fancy car stood out of it, a giant gun in hand as she started letting off rounds into the golem with no effect.

I looked around for some way to help and noticed that a truck was nearby with a gas tank on the back. Quickly I took the gas tank off the back and sprinted into a clothing store, stealing a mannequin.

The girl was still on the street, loading more rounds into the golem. I placed the mannequin next to her and attached the gas tank to it, setting it up to a makeshift fuse.

After setting up the decoy bomb, the girl next to me looked over and understood my plan, backing away.

I pulled a pack of matches from my pocket and lit the fuse.

"Hey brick head! Come get some tasty human!" I yelled as I ran from the mannequin and hid behind the nearby truck.

The golem picked up the mannequin and ate it in one go. Flames bursted out of the monsters mouth as it seemed to scream, rocks falling off it one at a time before it exploded.

The street went silent as the rocks were spread across the road, which then started to roll back to the explosion point.

"Damn! It's reforming" I cursed as I looked at all the new rubble from the explosion now joining the new form.

I looked over at the girl with the gun who was now putting the odd looking green rock from the beast into a container and then locking it. She then whispered something into her earpiece before crouch running over to me.

"We have to get out of here, now!" She commanded, grabbing my arm.

"No! There is still a rock monster, now growing in size, in the middle of this street!" I argued, removing her hand from my arm.

She looked like she was about to argue back when suddenly another explosion went off, but this time it was due to a girl in red and blue.

"Is that Supergirl?" I asked the girl beside me, who just sighed in response.

I was about to listen to the woman's idea of just walking away but we both stopped when we heard Supergirl groan in pain, followed by the sound of her body being slammed into the ground.

"She should be able to take that thing no problem?!" I yelled to the woman in confusion as Supergirl desperately fought the golem.

"I removed the Kryptonite from the scene, she shouldn't be like this" The girl yelled back.

I remember hearing about Kryptonite, but I didn't know it was a glowing green rock, I just knew that Superman and people like him were weak to it.

We both looked on in fear as Supergirl was punched into the railway tunnels below us, luckily they were shut down for maintenance.

That was when I realised something and grabbed the girls gun off her holster, taking aim at the monster.

"What are you doing?! We both know that shooting stone does nothing!" She yelled at me, grabbing my shoulder.

I ignored her and aimed for the monster's eyes, which were still glowing a bright green.

After four rounds, two for each eye, the Kryptonite eyes cracked and broke apart. The shattered pieces fell out of the golem's face, causing the golem itself to fall apart and back to ruble.

I passed the girl her gun before running into the hole that Supergirl made with her body.

"Supergirl!" I yelled as I looked around the destroyed tunnel, there was no reply but a bright color caught my eye.

There she was, after removing the broken tunnel rock from her I noticed that she was covered in bumps and cuts that were now slowly healing.

I stood up and walked away as the DEO came into the tunnel, I knew that Supergirl worked for them like all the other citizens knew so I let them take her from there.

After a long walk back to my apartment, due to my car being destroyed by the rock monster, I was finally home without a scratch.

There was no texts from Kara, so I'm guessing she is just ghosting me now, which will make work awkward.

Then there was a loud and quick knock at my door.

I opened it to see Kara, who looked like she took the front end of an avalanche.

"Oh my god Kara are you okay?!" I asked in worry as I brought her inside and closed the door behind us, this was when I noticed the two to-go coffee cups and a bakery bag in her hands.

"I'm fine... Sorry I didn't show up for the date, got caught up at work, so I brought the date to you!" She said happily, placing the goods on the coffee table and sitting down, inviting me to sit beside her.

"Thanks Kara, I'm lucky to have you" I said with a soft, warm smile while grabbing what seemed to be a donut without the hole out of the bag.

We talked and ate for the rest of the day before I brought something up.

"So, I hope that thing didn't hurt you too badly?" I asked her, she seemed to go wide eyed for a second before replying.

"What thing?" She asked, seeming to try shake off what I asked.

"Kara, I've suspected you being Supergirl from day one, I mean you literally wear glasses and tie up your hair" I explained as I reached behind her, grabbing and removing her hair tie while also taking her glasses.

We were both silent for a second.

"You're going to leave me now aren't you?" She asked once more, looking down.

"I love you Kara, even if you could rip a car in half with your bare hands" I answered, hugging her tightly.

"I'll stay by your side till the end" I added.

We both sat, hugging in my apartment for a good ten minutes before Kara started to talk again.

"You know, now I can finally brag to you about what happened today! It was so weird" She said excited.

"Oh yeah, tell me about it?" I asked, grabbing my coffee cup.

"Well we were facing this monster rock guy who was powered by Kryptonite, which we didn't know till I had in way up in the sky. I was weakened by the Kryptonite and dropped him and he landed in the middle of the street really hard but I had to keep my distance so I let one of my caregivers handle it, and lucky for her she had some help from this other guy who apparently saved me" She blabbed out as she used her hands to visualise the event.

"Let me guess, he tried to blow it up and also destroyed the Kryptonite in the monsters eyes with four bullets?" I asked, knowing she'd be confused.

She sat there with a confused looking face for about a minute before going into a happy looking shocked face.

"YOU SAVED ME?!" She yelled with excitement, the room shook lightly.

"What can I say, you seem to be rubbing off on me" I replied, giving her another hug, which she then gave a kiss back for.

"I love you Y/n" She said with a soft and happy sigh before relaxing on my shoulder.
