Chapter 2

*Gray Thomas's POV*

I walked out of Jake's house, the backyard filled with people. I grabbed a White Claw from the cooler, smiling at everyone as I made my way to a group of familiar faces.

"You two having fun," I giggled, looking at the two who seemed surprised to see me.

"Ya," the shorter of the two smiled. "You gonna drink that, or just hold that," he smirked cockily, gesturing to my White Claw as I laughed, nodding my head.

"I'll teach you one of my party tricks," I smirked, tilting the can on its side. I poked a hole in the side with my thumb, smirking at the two. "You two gonna be gentlemen and join me?" I smirked as they both laughed, looking around. They flagged down one of the waiters, each of them grabbing a can, poking a hole in the side of the can. "Bryce, since you initiated this, I'll let you do the countdown," I smirked as Bryce nodded, letting out a small breath.

"Alright, 3... 2... 1!" Bryce laughed loudly, the 3 of us shotgunning. I finished first, laughing as I wiped my mouth, placing my can on the ground, stomping on it and squishing it as Bryce and Tayler just laughed at me, both of them throwing their cans on the ground.

"I'm sorry, this might be too straight forward but you're too good to be real," Bryce smirked as I giggled softly, shrugging my shoulders.

"It's because I didn't grow up in this lifestyle. I didn't come out here until last year," I smiled, slipping my hands into the back pockets of my jeans. "So, tell me about you guys?" I smiled, squinting my eyes as the sun peaked through the trees.

"Well, this may be a turn-off, but we're TikTokers," Bryce said hesitantly as I laughed softly, shaking my head.

"I'm going, to be honest, I'm jealous. Some of the people on that app have mad talent," I smiled, looking up as a strong arm wrapped itself around me.

"Are these TikTokers bothering you?" Logan smirked down at me as I cleared my throat, shaking my head.

"No, they're pretty sick," I smiled at the two boys before looking back up at Logan. "What's up?" I gulped, my smile fading as Logan shook his head, staring at the two guys.

"Nothing," he sighed, not looking away from the two guys.

"Where's Jake?" I mumbled, wrapping my arm around him, placing my other hand on his chest. "I'll be back," I smiled softly at Tayler and Bryce before guiding Logan through the yard.

"Can we talk?" He looked at me as I nodded, a soft smile on my face.

"Yeah, let's go to Jake's room," I smiled, leading Logan through the house and up to Jake's room. I sat Logan down on the bed, sitting next to him as I smiled softly. "How much did you drink? We've been here for like, an hour," I laughed as Logan leaned in, trying to kiss me. I leaned back, his lips still meeting mine as he kissed me gently. His eyes shot open meeting mine and he shot back.

"I'm sorry," he stood up as I shook my head.

"No-" I gulped as Logan shook his head placing his hands on his hips.

"No, I don't know what I was doing," he gulped, looking into my eyes. "I have liked you for so long that I guess I just, I took your friendliness as a sign of affection?" He sighed as I just looked up at him.

"Can we talk about it?" I gulped as Logan paced back and forth for a second before sitting down, crossing his arms as he looked at me.

"Is it my reputation?" He jumped as I laughed, rolling my eyes.

"No," I giggled, grabbing his hands in mine. "I love you, Logan, but as a friend," I smiled as Logan laughed, nodding his head.

"Is it narcissistic of me to ask why you don't love-love me?" He gulped as I laughed loudly, looking into his big blue eyes.

"I'm not sure why I don't love-love you. I think it's just because you're not my person. BUT!" I giggled, Logan, looking at me strangely as I placed my hand on his shoulder. "I do know that whoever your person is, they are going to one lucky lucky lady, Mr. Paul," I smiled, Logan laughing softly as he nodded.

"And I know that whoever your person is, they are going to be one hell of a lucky man, Ms. Thomas. The man that cuffs you should play the lottery with his luck," he laughed, pulling me in for a hug.
