Chapter 3

*Tayler Holder's POV*

I laughed as I sat there next to Bryce who was talking to some guy about some cafe downtown. As I sat there, I looked around, wondering where Logan and Gray went. Part of me wondered if Logan finally got the girl of his dreams, ending the potential of me having her one day, or if she just put him to bed and was with someone else right now. There was something about her. I've never felt that way about anyone before. Not even Kaylyn. As I looked around, I saw her in the driveway with Jake and some of his buddies, most of whom I knew from just being around. Gray had her shoes off and was playing soccer with them, making most of them look like fools. I smiled softly, watching her smile and have a good time.

"Bro, isn't she perfect?" Bryce smirked, hitting my chest as I laughed, nodding my head never looking away from her, not even for a second.

"Yeah," I smiled.

"Do you think she likes me?" Bryce coughed, finally tearing my eyes away from her only to look at my best friend who was currently unbuttoning his shirt making me laugh as I shook my head.

"Bryce, look at her," I laughed, glancing over at her before looking back at my best friend who hadn't seemed to get what I was throwing out. "Bryce, no," I smiled, patting his shoulder. "She's a model, we're, in your very own words, TikTokers," I sighed, looking back over at her, smiling as I watched her tie her long straight hair into a high ponytail, putting her hands on her hips as she just laughed at Jake trying to dribble the soccer ball.

"You like her too, don't you," Bryce said softly, snapping me out of my gaze as I nodded softly, smiling at Bryce.

"What's not to like about her? She's perfect?" I sighed, turning back to look at her.

"Then let's go shoot our shots! Tayler, we go to Playlist next week, why not shoot our shots?!" Bryce laughed before hurrying over to the driveway. I finished the rest of my drink, placing my can down before quickly hurrying after him.

"Tayler," Jake laughed as I smiled brightly.

"I see you're getting your ass kicked," I laughed, crossing my arms as Jake laughed, pushing Gray playfully.

"She thinks her barely existent soccer career has something on me," Jake laughed, picking Gray up as the ball came to her, making her yell and laugh.

"No way, you used to play soccer?" Bryce smiled as Jake put Gray back on her feet. She laughed softly, nodding her head as she quickly turned her attention back to the ball.

"Yeah," she giggled, stealing the ball from Logan, dribbling down their 'field' before passing the ball to one of the guys. She jogged back over to us, a big smile on her face as she wrapped her arms around Jake. "I played for part of my freshman year at Duke before getting injured," she giggled as Jake hugged her tightly.

"What happened?" I gulped as she smiled up at me.

"I strained my MCL, PCL, and ACL. Barely missed getting surgery, which is the best part. If I had gotten surgery then I'd probably still be at Duke right now! What model agency wants a model with a scar?" she smiled. I couldn't help but smile back. Her smile was contagious! "Wait, what are you guys doing on March 5th? It's a Friday," she jumped, Jake still hugging her.

"That's the day we get back from Playlist, right?" Bryce looked at me and I nodded, a soft smile on my face trying to hide my excitement.

"Yeah," I laughed, looking at Gray who was smiling brightly.

"I'm having a party on the 5th, you guys are more than welcome to come. Bring whoever you want," she smiled, her phone ringing making her jump, her smile fading. "I gotta run, but I'll let you know the details later," she sighed, her voice becoming serious as she hugged Jake, whispering something to him before grabbing her shoes and hurrying down the driveway.

"What was that about?" Bryce laughed softly, Jake clearing his throat, placing his hands on his hips as he looked down the driveway watching Gray walk towards the gate.

"Her brother," Jake said softly, clearly not wanting to give us any details.
