"Now, tell me, Jemima, how do you divide these two right here." Ray asks her patiently. "Come on you know the answer."
Jemima stares off trying to think of the answer. "Ummmm, do you divide by 4?"
"Yes, now write it down and let's move on."
The two continue to do math homework as my brain drifts off somewhere else, my mind absolutely blank.
"Hey, Ray?" I call out.
He turns his over quickly. "What."
I raise an eyebrow and glance over to him. "What's with the attitude?" I grab an apple. "Anyway, I just wanted to know if you wanted to go with me somewhere in a bit."
Ray stared at me for a brief moment before returning his attention to Jemima. "Sure, just gimme a sec."

"Ray, do you think this looks cute?" I asked.
Holding up a Hello Kitty bracelet, I looked over at him from where I was crouching.
Ray barely looked over before returning to what he was doing. "I dunno, why do you want to know?"
I stood up and grabbed his hand, clasping the bracelet onto his wrist. "Because I was thinking it might look cute on you. I think I'm right."
Ray looked away and yanked away his hand, scoffing. "You're an idiot."
"And you're totally blushing." I laugh. "Are you gonna keep it on?"
Ray clicks his tongue and unclasps it, and holds it out to examine it. "Maybe." he stuffs it into his pocket.
I slap his back and grin. "Consider it a gift from yours truly."
"I never thought I would receive an old hello kitty bracelet, I'm so blessed." He said sarcastically.
"Tsk, yeah yeah. Anyway, moving on, what's that?" I lean over to see what he's holding in his other hand.
Rah holds it out for me to grab. It's an old camera.
I gently take it from his hands and examine it. It's old and dusty but it looks to be in good condition.
"It works, in case you were wondering." Ray leans towards me. "If you look under it you can see it's an antique from 1991."
"What, that's like over 50 years ago." I stare at it intently. "And it still works? That's amazing."
Ray chuckles and takes it from me, and I look at him with a questioning look. He stares softly at the camera.
"You're so cute sometimes..." he smiles.
This catches me off guard-more accurately, it catches us both off guard.
"Uh, well... you know. Sometimes you look like a child even more so, which is cute." He pats my head, a flustered mess. Both of us.
I start to walk away and laugh. "Right, ahaha, anyway..." I trail off. "I'm gonna go over there, have fun looking at more... stuff."
As soon as I get an appropriate distance away I feel my shoulders lose their tension. "That was weird..."
I sigh and look around to see where I've wandered off. It's an old kitchenware aisle, with some, what I think to be, ancient supplies.
Slowly making my way around I'm surprised about a few of the appliances. There was an odd microwave from at least a century ago, and a rusty tea kettle that looked like it gave out decades ago.
