The loud, but steady rhythm of a heartbeat is the first thing to hit Gianna's ears. The pounding in her head hasn't subsided yet–it's almost as if it's worse than it had been before she went to sleep. Unfortunately, her head isn't enough to distract her from the pain in her side and the starving pains in her stomach– nor the rest of her body, which is flooded with bruises.

Taking a deep breathe and ignoring the way her ribs scream in protest, Gianna opens her eyes. Immediately, she's met with bright lights and her hearing begins to fade into background noise. A sharp pain travels through her skull, causing a groan of pain to escape past her lips. Promptly her eyes snap closed, no longer faced with the blindness the lights bring. After a few painfully quick seconds, she's given more chance for the dizziness to subside. Gianna tries to open her eyes again.

The brunette is met with the worried faces of Treyton Roberts and their mother. Who– along with her Jenna Sommers–looks like they haven't slept in days. Before she can get a grip on the rest of her surroundings, a pair of arms quickly wrap around her torso causing an involuntary whimper to escape. But just as quickly as they appear, the arms untangle from around Gianna, allowing her some much needed space.

"Thank God you're okay! You've been out for days!" cries Jenna, tears threatening to spill, "How are you feeling?"

Her hair is sticking to her face–obviously due to all the crying, and her face is makeup free. It's obvious the older female was worried for Gianna, as she stayed by her bedside since she had arrived. Treyton and Sarelle had done the same, only leaving to get something to eat or to speak to the nurses.

According to Gianna's doctor, Dr. Leonard, the pain was why she was sleeping so long. Her body had been so badly disfigured that it had taken hours just to re-break all her bones. It made sense that she wasn't waking up, but nobody could really know when she would–which worried Treyton more than anything. He was scared he'd lose his twin.

Gianna opens her mouth to speak, but no words can be heard. Her scratchy throat begins to burn and she brings her hand up to point at it. Immediately, Treyton grabs a cup from the table next to his sister and helps to guide the straw to her lips– hoping it will help soothe her sore throat. Taking another deep breathe, the young brunette tries to speak once again.

"H- Hi." she manages to stutter, visibly cringing at how horrible and dead her voice sounds. It's obvious the pale girl has been through a lot, but the way her voice cracks involuntarily is enough to make her never want to speak again. And as she watches the faces of those around her, she realizes how much her disappearance might have affected them.
