One day in gym class, the teacher told everyone to go outside and play. Some students played catch, others, including the green girl and some of her friends, walked around and talked. Sometimes walking hurt and it felt better to just sit down, so the pink girl sat down right in the middle of a large walkway. While she was watching everyone else, she looked down at the pavement. She noticed that there was a bit of grass growing between the cracks of the sidewalk. Not only grass, but there was a tiny purple flower. This made her think about the green girl. The pink girl remembered the monster telling her that the green girl's favorite color was purple. She couldn't help but to find it symbolic. Her negativity towards the green girl represented the pavement and the friendship and peace she wanted for them was the flower. Though, the flower was so small, she knew that one day, it would grow more. Just then, the pink girl saw someone standing infront of her. It was the green girl. The green girl leaned down to see what had been discovered. She thought it was interesting how even though the pavement is so strong, that life still goes on; proving to be stronger. The two girls made small talk. Soon, it was time to change for the next class. In the locker room, the pink girl still had the tiny flower. The timing couldn't be more perfect. The two girls actually talked face to face for the very first time. After both girls had finished getting dressed, the pink girl showed the green girl her treasure. "It made me think of you, since it's your favorite color.", said the pink girl nervously. "Oh my gosh. It's so cute and small. Thank you.", said the green girl with a smile. And the little purple flower started to grow.
