"Is this uh, necessary...?" Namjoon asked as he eyed the helmet.
"Put on the helmets, trust me." Yoongi tipped as they all squinted in the light of the clear sky, beige dust around the train tracks as I walked over with a duffle bag.
"Why isn't Seokjin doing it?" Namjoon complained, pointing at his best friend.
"I did this shit wayyyy before I met you, nerd neck!" He called from on top of the tunnel next to them, legs swinging.
"So, there are 3 categories for you to succeed in to be accepted." Hoseok briefed like a military Sargent. "First is bravery."
The three looked between the tracks and the oddly threatening sunshine.
"You'll each get a spray can, and go to the top of the tunnel." I pointed to Seokjin. "Then, you'll lean over as a train comes, and mark it.
Taehyung smirked, Jungkook expressionless as he looked over to him.
Namjoon was whimpering.
"Watch me nail this shit!" Taehyung walked over to me, reaching for the purple spray can in my hand.
His fingers met mine, and he placed a soft peck on my nose.
I blushed as he skipped his way up, the boys glaring at him. Jimin was the one smirking with admiration.
Namjoon walked up to me and kindly asked for blue.
"You'll be okay, your arms are long enough as it is." I tried to help.
"Yeah, you should've seen Jimin and (Y/n) when they got accepted!" Hoseok laughed out, getting an orange spray paint can chucked at his face.
"You did this too (Y/n)?!" Taehyung called from above. I laughed, blushing at the admiration on his face.
"Yeah she did, almost fell too!" Jimin laughed along.
"First off, you did worse than me on almost all the challenges that day!" I argued.
"Not the second oneeeee." He teased as he waited next to me.
Jungkook let out a deep chuckle. "Red." He demanded as he walked up to me and held his and out.
I glared at him, unamused but prepared to be a smartass. "Magic words?"
"Hocus Pocus." he breathed out, leaning down to grab the can from the bag, keeping eye contact. I looked away first, rolling my eyes and landing them on Taehyung, who scrunched his nose at me.
I stuck my tongue out back and I could feel Yoongi attempting to strangle the boy with his mind.
Even Namjoon looked uncomfortable, but Taehyung's excited attitude switched when Jungkook smiled to himself in victory.
He pushed his shoulders back slightly as Jungkook made his way up the steep steps without effort.
Seokjin left the top, and the three were laying in their stomached with their elbows perched up, ready.
"So, you like red?" Taehyung asked as a loud horn sounded in the distance.
The train was coming.
They made eye contact, Jungkook's eyes flickering crimson. "It's my favorite," he made sure to glance back at me, and I had bright red converse on.
Taehyung chuckled in his low voice. "I like purple." He looked over to ne too, I had Taehyung's oversized lavender hoodie on as I excitedly shook my best friend's shoulder as the train came into view in the distance.
I jumped up and down, turning back to smile at Taehyung.
Jungkook scoffed, feeling stupid. He didn't even like this girl, and here he was obeying mortal souls that just want their little sister figure's new boyfriend gone...
He was the king of the sinner's afterlife! He was a hero that tortured rapists and murderers by the minute! How could this small little insect not fall for him?! He didn't feel his tail swish out, whipping around in the process.
The loud horn snapped him out of his inner dialogue as he closed his eyes, the train only meters away, so he ended up warping himself on the top of the train while it was still far enough, as he wrote out his initials on the top before going back in less than 5 seconds.
Taehyung scoffed and pulled himself forward, supporting himself with one arm as he pressed down in the can above the train, not letting go until the purple slashed over the JJK.
He pulled himself up as they both looked over to Namjoon sporadically pressing the can with serious focus.
When the train passed, the three came down.
"I have the winner!" I announced, and Taehyung looked Jungkook up and down.
Jungkook rolled his eyes.
"Namjoon!" I called.
The two other boys looked between each other and then me, dumbstruck.
"Were you guys even listening??? He spelled penis on the train in Morse code!" Jin called from the other side of the tracks where he decided to stand.
Taehyung nodded and chuckled, understanding why he lost, joining my side.
Jungkook shook his head, not believing his life.
"For the next challenge..."
