(A/n: kejdidjdjdb I literally hate this chapter and rewrote it like 3 times and no, it didn't flow well any of those times. Bare with me please, this is a shitty chapter but it's needed. Please keep reading after this 😔)
Every time I blinked, I saw his face as the headlights grew closer.
So I kept my eyes closed, and I replayed all of the memories we had.
When we took his sisters to dance practice, but they couldn't behave so we ended up teaching them ourselves at the park.
The times he'd call me randomly to tell me a random fact or what "crazy thing just happened to him."
Or when we'd try and sneak off during movie night with the boys, and then be banished to opposite sides of the room.
I hated every second of the memories, knowing that is all they'd be now.
Memories, all in the past.
"You have a visitor, Ms. Min." The nurse poked her head in and I opened my eyes.
I didn't respond, and she left.
"Sweetie?" A familiar voice called and I choked on the air, eyes pooling with water in an instant.
"I'm so sorry..." I cried to the woman who held a coffee cake in her hand. It smelled just like the store, just like he smelled in the morning.
She looked down with a smile, tears falling onto the decorative cake box.
"It's alright, Sweetie." She moved next to me, taking a seat next to my bed, taking my hand.
"My baby's in a better place, it's not your fault.." she managed to whisper.
I squeezed her hand as my body wracked out sobs, pain coursing through my sides and into every crevasse.
She tried to hold herself together as she squeezed her eyes shut, clenching my hand.
"He talked about spending his life with you you the day he first saw you." She said.
I didn't look at her and cried even harder, unable to breathe.
"He ran home so sure if himself that day, insisting that you were the coolest person he had ever saw, and brainstorming ways that he could get you to see him. He said, "I felt a connection when I saw her shaking. it was so weird to me." And he said "I don't know why, but I want her to be in my life forever""
I was silent.
"Of course, we called him a psychopath for months because of it.." she managed to joke. "But he truly believed you were his soulmate, and I felt you needed to know that."
I couldn't look at the woman, no matter what. She had his eyes, and she had his heart too.
When her hand slipped away, I felt like I was drowning, but she was gone.

"Good work, sir. I'm glad we could be of service."
Jungkook halted in his pacing.
"You did this?" He asked blankly.
"It's been a year sir, and you haven't done anything to-"
"You killed him?!" He growled.
"Sir, you rule over the sinners! This isn't the time to have mercy!"
"He wasn't a sinner! He was a child! If you gave me time I would've gotten her!"
"Sir, you don't have time! You'll be one of them in two years at this rate!" One of the smaller demons lashed out.
"Take her." He ordered, and the group of demons in the other side looked confused.
"Take her, and have her killed!" He ordered before storming out.
School was canceled for the next two weeks, but none of the boys cared.
Hoseok was spending his time at the group home, while Jimin had been unresponsive until yesterday, and he disappeared.
Namjoon was a stranger again, and Seokjin was thinking of anything that could've saved him.
And then Yoongi. He made like our mother and left the country. He left me alone in the hospital, and left the day after.
I guess the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
And now I was home, inside the big, empty space and I somehow still couldn't breathe in anything but the smell of his cologne.
And then there was a knock.
"Y/n, it's me.."
I pulled the door open aggressively, face to face with the one who killed Taehyung.
"Why are you here?"
"The bench outside of the school got replaced a month ago..."
