It's crazy how everything started... but this story starts like any other...

With a mistake.

I slowly open my eyes, while feeling cozy in my bed... another day about to begin sits in front of me.

The light of the sun enters my room making it its own, illuminating every corner with a beautiful deep orange. I smile at it while appreciating the light of a new day about to start.

I reach for my phone to try to capture this moment.

"Good morning! Isn't it beautiful?" I ask.

No answer.

I reach for my slippers while I stand up, with a very clear objective... to eat waffles.

The kitchen is full this morning, the eyes are dispersed in the air and they suddenly focus on me the second that I take the waffles... a great unhealthy but happy way to start the day. So what else do you need if you are happy with it right?

"Stop eating that! You are getting fat," says someone suddenly.

"It's fine! Image is not everything, haha." I let a laugh come out with my confident words.

No answer.

After a very nice breakfast, I reach for my backpack and leave the house to go to school.

Right after closing the door, I can feel it... the day is clear, the birds are chirping around the buildings, and the smell in the early morning... that intense smell of a new day...

Deep breaths are a must before taking a walk, but mostly in the morning. Feeling the nice clear air, the new day ahead is just a precious moment.

Step after step, block after block, more kids start showing up. We all know where we are heading to. Some are alone, some others aren't... some are happy and some others aren't... Suddenly this slightly old-looking building stands in front of me... I grab the handles of my backpack and with a determined look, I enter it. No deep breaths before entering... you are going to the jungle and these animals could judge you.

*bell rings*

"Here you have your exams from last week," says the oldest of the animals while giving away papers to the other animals in the room.

Suddenly, a paper lies in front of me... with a number on it... now I'm wondering... why is this number in front of me so important? Does it really show correctly what it needs to show? What is it even showing? I start to ignore my thoughts about the paper trying to focus on something else when, with perfect timing to save me, my phone vibrates.

"I need to see you this afternoon," says the text.

"Sure! I'm free after school! What would you like to do?" I happily ask.

"At 7:00 on the crystal house," answers the person.

"Sure! What do you want to do there?" I ask again.

No answer.

The time passes and I find myself entering a house in ruins... no walls... no roof... no pillars...only the floor is left.... a stunning gigantic transparent floor made of glass, and around "the house", nature takes over everything. Enormous trees rise high in the sky and animals watch from the safe distance that the trees provide.

A person is in front of me looking down, not noticing my presence.

"Hey, how are you?" I ask seeking an answer.

A conversation starts to happen... words are starting to be said... and with those words, a mistake is made. A mistake... but nothing matters, because nothing really does after a mistake, the only thing that matters is that it happened... it doesn't matter the reason... it doesn't matter what causes it... it doesn't even matter if it's one thing or many. The mistakes are always the driver of the car with one objective...

Hours later  I find myself laying on my bed... seeing how all the lights that entered my room this morning leave... with no answers to any of my questions... they vanish into black... and suddenly the night takes over the sky, no more sun to shine, no more warm orange on the walls and no more safety in the room...

My head is suddenly starting to heat up, the temperature of the rooms gets hotter and colder at the same time, the room becomes darker and darker... I close my eyes...

I start to open my eyes slowly... waiting for something to change after a couple of seconds, and suddenly I find myself laying down on a jungle. I stand up slowly, confused... when I find behind me the crystal house.

I feel the power... it's suddenly calling me... there is an unknown attraction coming from it... I walk towards it until I reach the middle of the house, surrounded by glass...

The beautiful color of the moon and stars above me rises far... I feel the spectators... they are shy to show themselves...

I start to reach for the sky with one of my arms while looking up to the infinity above me... this second... is just precious... the sky and I are both frozen... for a moment in time it's only us... we are far, and at the same time I feel we are close.

The time starts running again very slowly, taking speed slowly... and the floor of crystals... collapses. Not able to resist anymore... not able to hold anymore.

Hundreds of cracks in the glass... break... in slow motion... the cracks transform into millions of pieces, reflecting the lights of the universe, creating waves of colors... the shape changes every second, letting out a beautiful scenery of changing colors.

Meanwhile, I'm still looking at the sky, not paying attention to anything else... why should I? There is no answer, there is no help... it's funny how the warning signs feel in this second... just like they were never there.

My hand is still trying to reach the universe, but my entire body starts to sink... crossing all the crystal fog slowly,  with my feet seeking to stop at any point.

But there is no stop.

The speed starts to increase. All the spectators watch me succumb throw the glass into the unknown while appreciating an extraordinary view from a safe place.

The glass crosses through all my body, letting me sink while it floats around. I'm going down a black hole while my eyes seek the sky that moves farther away. I keep falling deeper and deeper into a never seen place... the winds of the free fall hit my body stronger, and finally... the sky disappears.

It feels like a roller coaster on a nonstop fall... the adrenaline becomes stronger with the wind, my eyes can hardly stay open, but not for long...  the pressure is stronger every second in this free fall.

My eyes close... I try to figure out what happened... I don't understand... Please, someone make me understand... I can't focus, the fall won't let me focus...  I keep falling down... If only I could have seen this coming... if only I could have known it before it happened...

It's crazy when a small move can lead you to the graveyard.
