Your head was pounding. The thoughts in your head jumbled and loud as you tried to wake up. You noticed you were laying on a bed, that was new. You normally found yourself laying on the hard ground or in a good case, a pile of hay.

You groaned and blinked your eyes open. You were in a tavern room. From what you remembered last. You stole a large amount of loot from some thieves and ran for your life.

You almost died from loss of blood and a sword at your throat till...till that man saved you and you blacked out. You shot up immediately your arm and head throbbed in pain.

You inspected your arm and saw it was cleanly bandaged. You raised an eyebrow and looked up. The man from last night, Herobrine, was standing by the window, starring out of it.

Now that the lighting was better, you got to see more of him. He was definitely tall, tanned, and wore red velvet gypsy pants. He had golden decor adorning him. From a long thin gold chained necklace, to golden rings and bracelets.

His hair was slightly long and messy and from what you could see he had faint scars on his arms and back. You blinked and looked over at the table in the room. The sack of treasure was sitting on it, looking as full as if no loot had spilled from it.

"You're awake." He says, breaking the silence. You swallow nervously and don't reply. He then turns to you, his piercing white eyes strange to look at. He walks over to the side of the bed.

"Since you passed out from blood loss last night, I haven't been able to instruct you of the rules to the wishes." He says. You look up at him and tilt your head curiously.

"I can grant you three wishes of anything you desire, with only a few rules. No love potions, no bringing back the dead, and no having control over another's will." He states.

You pause for a moment, thinking. No, you weren't thinking about what to wish for, you were thinking about how odd it was, calmly interacting with another for the first time since your parents died.

Herobrine tilted his head ever so slightly. "I have never met someone who would think like that after being offered the ability to make almost anything happen." He says.

Your eyes widen as you look at him. "Wait, how did you..." You stutter? "I can read minds, plain and simple, now wish for your wants and be done so I may return to my prison." He snapped, catching you off guard.

You sat there for a moment. It was hard to think knowing he could hear your thoughts. "I...I need some fresh air for a moment." You stuttered and got up. He let out a 'tch' and went back to starring out the window.

You left the tavern room and went downstairs and put the front door. You were pretty sure he couldn't read your thoughts from here. To be honest you had no idea what to wish for.

You could get a palace, and gold, and food, and...anything. Anything accept, a friend. Honestly you've been so desperately lonely for the longest time. You knew you couldn't wish for a friend, and even if you gained a high status with a palace, people would only want to scam you or take your riches.

As much as Herobrine seemed like a grumpy jerk, he saved your life, and, he's the only one who can stick around. You know it's selfish to want to just keep him around a bit longer, but you could bare the thought of being alone, either on the street or in a fancy palace.

You sighed, not sure what to do. You closed your eyes and began to listen to a passing conversation.

"No way really?!"

"Yeah, the guy said he was traveling all the way to Tunsted!"

"All on his own really? That's so far away! There are so many cities to pass through!"

Your eyes snapped open. That's it! You'll just tell Herobrine your going to Tunsted and have him along for the ride incase you need a wish. That way you could have a little more time with someone before being lonely again. Even if he was a rude grump. You went back inside and to the room.

Herobrine had turned from the window upon your entry. "Have you chosen yet?" He asked, annoyed. You nodded with an oddly enthusiastic smile, then dramatically pointed your finger at him in an adventurous way.

"You're going to accompany me on my journey to Tunsted!"
