After you both had finished eating it was time to find another place to sleep. You and Herobrine left the restaurant and walked through the streets. "There's a good place to rest." You say pointing to a larger building.
You both make your way over noticing how crowded it seemed to be for being so late. You wondered why there were so many people here. Making it inside the tavern you noticed it was also crowded inside.
"Hi there, we need a room for.." You begin. "Here's the key, one bed room, number 24." He says in a plain, rough voice. "A-actually two beds." You say nervously. He just deadpans at you. Looking between you and Herobrine.
"One bed rooms all we got. I'm sure you'll be fine with that." He said gesturing towards Herobrine. You tilt your head in confusion before your face erupted in red. "N-no no, it's nothing like tha-" "Tsh, just come on." Herobrine cuts in dragging you off.
You calm down and just get to the room. Opening it and stepping inside you realize it really is a one bed. "Uh well I suppose you-" Before you could finish the statement Herobrine had already conjured a mattress on the floor.
You blink a few times before letting out a sigh. "Right, magic." You flop down on the tavern bed and sigh. You aching muscles finally relax. You lay there for a long while before peeking over the bed to ask Hero something.
You open your mouth but held your words in. His eyes were closed and he seemed to be sleeping. Did genies need sleep? You guessed so. His features seemed to be more relaxed than when he was awake.
You find your self staring a little too long. You blink rapidly trying to clear your mind and ignore the flushing of your face. You turn over in bed and pull the soft covers up.
Taking a deep breath you relax once more. "Goodnight Hero." You say quietly before falling asleep.
You wake up to soft sun beams through the curtains and the sound of chatter and music from outside. You yawn and stretch, sitting up and blinking a few times.
Once you had fully woken up you looked around the room. Herobrine was sitting in a chair, reading a very old looking book. "Your awake finally." Herobrine mutters. Still grouchy as always.
"Yeah, yeah, let go see what's going on outside." You say getting out of bed. You brush out your hair and sling your back pack on. Herobrine poofs away the book and follows you out the tavern.
The streets were filled with people. Streamers flew through the air like scattered rainbows. Music filled the air and fresh cooked food carried on the wind.
"What is going on? Is there a festival I don't know about?" You asked rhetorically. You then listen in on a passing conversation.
"Is it really him?!"
"It is! He's traveling to the city of Tunsted!"
"I can't believe he actually stopped at our town!"
"I know! He's on his way to be crowned king by his older brother!"
Tunsted huh. That's where you were going. Who are they talking about? Must be a celebrity or royalty. Wait, you hoped it wasn't who you thought it was.
You pushed your way through the crowd. The large groups of people becoming denser and denser the closer you got to this said royalty. It was hard to move through the crowd and it got to the point where you got stuck in between people.
"Hey move it girl!" A gruff man shouted and shoved you hard. You bowled past some people and fell out into the clearing. You landed in the dirt with a thud and skidded to a halt.
You groaned and sat up, patting the dust off you. Suddenly a hand comes into view. "Need some help?" A mans voice asks. You look up and froze for a moment.
This man, looked like Herobrine but it definitely wasn't him. Though he seemed oddly familiar. He was shorter and had cleaner hair and softer features. You hesitantly grabbed his hand as he helped you up.
You starred at him for a moment before realizing how close you were and took a step back. "Are you alright?" He asked kindly. You blinked a few times before replying. "Y-yeah I'm fine." You reply cautiously. He looked at you and smiled.
"Well, glad you're alright. Where are you headed? I can ascourt you so you don't have to travel through this rough crowd again." He says. You pause. What were you supposed to say.
"I-I'm actually headed to Tunsted." You say. "Really?" You nod. "Oh let me introduce myself. My name is Prince Steve, and you?" Ah so it was royalty....great.
"Names (y/n), your highness." You say, not making too much eye contact with him. "Please, no need for formalities. I would like to escort you to Tunsted along side me." He said with a bright smile.
You didn't know what to say, you just sat there with your mouth parted. "I uh, I have to get some things if you don't mind." You say as a quick excuse to go think things over.
"Of course, take your time." He says warmly making you blush a little. The guards make a pathway so you can leave the crowd and go think about what to do.
