Mazes and Mutants

*Warning: I didn't read through any of the chapters, sorry guys!*

Louisa's p.o.v

I smile as I read "The Giver" when Mikey screams from the kitchen, it scared me so I gasp and accidentally drop the book in, conveniently placed, soup someone didn't finish. Growling I walk to the kitchen and see Sam is already there asking what they're doing, so I glare at them. My arms crossing as I do, but Master Splinter came in too, wanting to know too. The guys basically ignored us, at least, until Master Splinter walked in for a cheesicle. "What is all of this??" Master Splinter asks confused as he sees the game "it's called 'Mazes and Mutants.' We found it in the trash, up top."

Sam grabbed the box once Master Splinter got to see it, so we both look at it and question the game in general, I sigh and think 'Dungeons and Dragons all over again. I like the game, but I can never get into it' Sam knows what I'm thinking as she snickers and sets the box down. "A game? Don't you have mutagen to find??" I ask, not wanting to hear them play this anymore. "But we just beat the Kraang and Shredder's forces, we could use just one day to just relax." Master Splinter sighs saying "I can not understand why you play a fantasy game when your lives are already fantastic."

They continued to play, so I sigh and say "please just keep it down, you already scared me into dropping a book and ruining it in soup. Speaking of which, Sam, there's a bit of knowledge in your soup now, maybe it will make you more smart." Donnie laughs a little and says "we'll try, but I can't make any promises for Mikey" he pouts, but nods his head. Master Splinter just says "something's not right here" as he walks away, so I sigh and just go out. The tv calling my name as I realize that I should go and search for mutagen without the guys.

To prevent anyone from getting mutated and to show the guys that I can do well on my own! Sneaking into Donnie's lab I grab his scanner and sneak out. A smirk on my face as I somehow get weird results of.... I don't know what, but it's close and in the sewers. "I hope that all of you know that I only came along to make sure you don't do anything stupid." 'Was that Sam??' I think to myself confused as I continue to follow the scanner, but it led me to the gang. "Hey Louisa, did you decide to LARP with us??" Leo asks as Donnie searches the dummy.

I roll my eyes and say "no, but I was gonna go in search of mutagen-" "what?!" Mikey, Leo and Raph all ask me, so I continued "when it led me here. Something weird is happening and it has to do with mutagen or-or maybe a mutant somehow." "Hey, I found something" Donnie says as he holds a piece of paper, then he looks at me "we'll talk about you taking my scanner later. But it says 'Soon you will find yourself in a haze, Solve the riddles to beat the maze.'" Leo looks at Donnie saying "that's not the clue I wrote down" as he grabs the paper from him.

A weird sound is the first thing I hear as a bit of weird colored smoke surrounds us, so I gasp and feel my hands turn blue at the sight of this. "The haze! Just like the-" "don't even finish that sentence" Sam interrupted Mikey annoyed. Raph coughed saying "it smells! You been eating asparagus again Mikey??" I laugh a little at that. Donnie then says "wow Leo, you really hooked this game up!" I furrow my eyebrows "a little too well." Leo then says "this wasn't me" so Sam asks "well, who was it then?!" The cloud then disperses.

The first thing I see is a skeleton, so I gasp and walk back as I shot my ice at it, making it freeze as I walk into someone- Donnie. "A dungeon? Um... what did you mean exactly when you said it 'wasn't' you??" Donnie asks as he puts his hand on my shoulder. We all look at Leo, but Mikey is still thinking that it was Leo who set all of this up- when it clearly wasn't. "Leo's just being humble, this is a-maze-ing! Everything feels so realistic" Mikey says as he rubs the wall. My eyes widen "that isn't such a good-" he pushed a part on the wall as it went in a bit.

Everything begins to rumble as Mikey walked back over to us and a bit of the ceiling begins to push down, so we have to avoid it. Donnie pulled me away from one, but I almost got squished, my nose barely dodging the ceiling itself. With that we all begin running, but I tripped, so Mikey picked me up and started running again. We're all screaming and Sam actually freezes in place "oh, come on!" She yells and uses her laser eyes to free herself. "She has ice powers too??" Donnie asks confused as we run, but I just shrug my shoulders.

"It's weird, her portal was blue and red- just keep running!" I yell as Mikey continued to run, but we barely avoid what looks like arrows. Mikey finally set me down, but I didn't really get lucky, one of the arrows grazed my shoulder. I scream as I grab it and continue running and feel my hand get warm at the blood seeping through. We're finally safe, so as I'm out of breath I glare up at Leo asking "what is going on?!" Donnie nods his head. "I was about to ask the same thing!" He says, but noticed my shoulder "I swear Leo, she got hurt."

Leo looks at my shoulder and says "I have no idea what's going on, a-are we really in medieval times??" Mikey gasps at that "dude. I don't want to be stuck in the 1980's!" Sam facepalms and looks at my shoulder "this is stupid. This is why I told all of you that this game would ruin your brains, turns out, you're ruining all of our brains. Not to mention, Weeza's shoulder" Donnie grabs a bit of his wrapping from his hand and wraps in around my shoulder. I hiss at the tightness, but he says "this should hold blood in until we get back to the lab."
