"Mabuhay ang Ilustrados!" A faint voice was heard inside the Renault FT-17.
The French tank charged straight at the Panzer IV with no hesitation. Miho quickly ordered her teammates.
"Everyone, battle formation!"
Yukari reloaded the gun with utmost velocity, while Hana quickly readjusted her aim.
Inside the Ilustrados' light tank, The commander sighted her gun at the panzer.
"Kainin mo 'to!(Eat this!)" She yelled in Tagalog.
"This is suicide, Luna-chan!" her subordinate exclaimed.
The Renault's gun shot a round at the Panzer IV's frontal hull. Unsurprisingly, it dealt no damage.
"Puta! (Fuck!)" The commander cursed voraciously at the German tank. "Take cover, Paco-chan!"
"Y-Yes!"
The tank quickly drifted all the way to the Panzer IV's north-western view, heading towards a large rock for cover.
"Aim at the Renault!" Miho ordered the other tank crews.
"Okay!" Azusa replied. The M3 Lee, which was behind the Pz IV, aimed right at the Renault and fired a 37mm round.
It shot a few centimeters away from the light tank, almost hitting its backside. Despite this, the tank managed to maneuver itself behind the large rock, just a hundred feet away from Oarai's tanks.
"Oops!" Aya reacted after shooting the Renault FT-17.
"What should we do now, commander?" Sodoko from the Mallard Team asked on the radio.
"Prepare our double formation, everyone!"
"We'll take out the Renault!" Momo stated on the radio. The Hetzer, which was behind the Mallard and Rabbit team, began to move towards the rock and take out the light tank.
With Miho's orders, the Ankou, Rabbit, and Mallard team joined together into a row and faced toward their left while Leopon, Anteater, Duck, and Hippo prepared to move beside the first three and faced toward their right. This would create a chevron formation, with each tank about 2 meters away from each other. All around them was just a vast amount of trees, rocks, and bushes with one path in the middle of Oarai's tanks.
Inside the Renault, the commander was overwhelmed with guilt.
"We're done for! We have failed Ilustrados!" Luna yelled all over the place. "I'll never be able to enter another competition ever again!"
Paco, her driver, looked onto her face with pity. "It's okay, Luna-chan. This is our first time. At least we competed. Perhaps, we could escape-"
"We can't escape this predicament, Paco!" Luna interrupted. "We'll just have to accept our defeat."
Outside, the Hetzer was a few meters away from the rock, being in front of the other tanks as it traveled towards the enemy tank. Suddenly, a tank round hit the ground right in front of the Turtle team. Yuzu immediately stopped the tank
"What was that, President?" Yuzu faced her tank commander with surprise.
"I'll take a look," Anzu looked into the sights and saw a swift object travelling through the bushes. It was several hundred meters away from them.
"I spotted something! It's fast!" Momo yelled out on the radio.
Miho leapt out from her hatch and used her binoculars to spot the moving vehicle on her left side. "A light tank, maybe?"
