Huey's POV

The next morning, I could hear some voices coming from downstairs...  I pulled my blanket back over my head and tried to go back asleep. I was still tired from the other day and the stress was too much for me.

After a few seconds I heard someone open the door. They grabbed my shoulder and shook me. "Wake the fuck up!"I heard Riley yell.

I sighed and I slowly got up from bed, any other time I would've punched him in his chest but I didn't feel like it today.

"Birdie wants to speak with you and he has some dread headed nigga that you supposedly know." Riley said, annoyed.

"And you might wanna fucking come get his punk ass because he's feeling all up on my BLONDE bitch, he ain't going to be doing that for too much longer." Riley then stomps out of the room, leaving me without having a chance to respond.

I stood up and began walking after him, I really didn't like working for Birdie. But, ever since last night, It had me thinking. Is working for Birdie even such a bad thing, he's down for the black people. HE wants to make this city better for the blacks of the slums. Just like Cesar described him "A king of the slums."

I went downstairs and walked straight into the dining room. There was Birdie at the head of the table, chowing down on some breakfast and everybody else was making their own little conversations.

I sat down next to Riley and Birdie lifted his head up and began to speak.

"Ahh, there you are little brudda. I hope my bed was soft for ya." Birdie said as he scarfed down a piece of egg.

"But you an' your little brudda and this boyo-.." He pointed at Cesar. "Are goin' to and get revenge for what happened between us yesterday."

"But-.." I started but he immediately cut me off and placed his hand up. "I know what you're going to say 'why us?'Because all my other experienced soldiers are out cutting a deal with the Mob, they're saying that we're willing to give you and ya brother here up-.." He stopped talking, jabbing his fork into a piece of sausage and then continuing.

"But in reality, you're going to be at their little hangout spot armed with uzi's and sub machine guns. I got one of my Jamaican brethren workin' there. He says there's a usual card game in the back, real high stakes and shit. Take the money, kill a few people and come back to me in one piece."

"How's that sound?" Birdie looked at me with a grin.

All this sounded way to fishy me. Something about all of this wasn't right, we're going to waltz right into there establishment, like they aren't going to be prepared. But, nevertheless, could I really say no?

"Sounds great..." I said.

"Great, go and get ready little brudda. Michael, here will fill you in when ya get into the van." I nodded and excused myself. I didn't really want any breakfast, the meal we had last night was holding me back. I went back upstairs, combed my hair. I couldn't really change, seeing as neglected to bring any clothes.

I came back downstairs and Cesar and Riley were already walking out of the door. I walked behind them, not saying a weird. Cesar was driving, Riley got in the front and I got in the back. Once we got in Cesar filled us in on everything.

"Alright, I hope y'all niggas is ready because we gon' have to be quick with this shit, a in and out type of thing. We swarm that bitch, right? GO in 'BAM BAM' lay down any nigga that try to step with us. Go in the back of the bistro 'SLAM BAM BAM' grab that money and get the fuck.'' Cesar said.

I nodded. "Aight, our straps is in the back, ayo Huey toss two up."  I saw a duffle bag on the floor of the van, I picked it up and unzipped it." There was 3 Uzi's in there. I grabbed two out and Riley grabbed that it out of my hand quickly.

"I can't WAIT to blast on em niggas, foreal think they was gonna get away wid that shit? I got another thing comin for em."

Cesar chuckled and grabbed his Uzi.

I took mine out of the dufflebag and sat it on my lap, I didn't want to talk about the stuff and crimes I was about to commit.

---.....

We pulled up to a bistro called Vinny's it was a real classy place.

Cesar turned to each one of us and said. "I hope y'all niggas ready, this shit is real... Whatever goes down, god be with y'all foreal."

Riley shook his head and cocked his Uzi. "God ain' got shit to do with this ri here. Only me, Huey and this here Automatic." I nodded. For once I agreed with this nigga.

We all got out of the van and took one last look at ourselves before we all stormed in there, guns drawn.

Almost instantly shots rang out. I saw Riley get hit in the shoulder, and he fell back against some chairs. How they knew we were after them? I began spraying people down.

This already wasn't going according to plan...

I flipped over a table amidst the gunfire, to take cover. I seen Riley crawl over to where I was, huffing and puffing. "This shit hurt Huey!"

I ignored him as I stood back up and took out the last few people in the bistro. The whole room was littered with dead bodies. Riley stood up with me, one hand on his gunshot wound and the other holding his gun.

Cesar was nowhere to be scene. I shrugged off, I thought he ran off somewhere during the gun fight. Still,we had a job to get done. So me and Riley went to the back of the Vinny's. Me and Riley had our guns drawn, we braced ourselves and I kicked open the door.

As soon I was walked in, I could see everybody was crowded around the door, and I felt a cold barrel touch the side of my skull. This whole thing was a setup.

I figured, Birdie couldn't take the heat so he decided to just give us up. I looked to my side, trying to see who was holding the gun to my head and lord behold it was Cesar.

"I'm sorry, Huey. Orders are orders."

Riley dropped his gun and so did I.

"That's what I thought you fucking pricks..." I heard someone say from behind the men. A bunch of the men stepped aside and they revealed. Jonathan... The guy we've been chasing this entire time. The guy that kidnapped my grand dad. THE SAME FUCKIN' GUY THAT STARTED ALL OF THIS!

Just then I--....
