I'm so tired,
Listening to them all day.
I'm so tired,
Obeying them all the time.
I want to make them happy,
Trying my best.
But it's so hard,
I just want to be free.
I have done this all my life,
Molding myself into what they want.
The perfect daughter; good student; loyal friend,
But I can't anymore.
I'm so tired,
Walking on the straight path.
I'm so tired,
I just want to be free.
It's too difficult to ignore,
The temptation.
To do the opposite,
Of the given.
I'm so tired,
I just want to lie.
