Chapter 2

I decided to read twilight just for laughs. Its fun to compare myth as to what happens with vampires. I would feel like such a girl if my skin really did sparkle.I was almost half way through it when I heard the commotion down stairs.

“So it begins.” I muttered to myself rolling my eyes.

The noise downstairs had been going for about an hour and a half , i was finished with my book & i was just lying on the floor following the patterns on the ceiling with my eyes. It was rather beautiful. It flourished. I had never really appreciated it before, mostly because i was never bored enough to stare at it. I just stood up stretching out my back, turns out lying on a hard wood floor for half an hour didn't do wonders for your joints, when I heard the door click.

“Crap” I thought to myself. I wasn’t supposed to be in here, if I was caught god knows the attention I would get. I ran over to the velvet curtains and hid behind them. It wasn’t a very good disguise but it was the best I could do in such a rush. This was always the place i hid when i was little playing hide and seek with my father. He always knew where i was but would wait about 10 minutes to make me think i was doing a good job. That was a long time ago though. I was hoping this time i wouldn't found as easily. I heard the door slam but wasn’t prepared to look just in case someone was there. After about 15 minutes I heard footsteps, I held my breath so the was no chance of being found. The footsteps got closer and closer. I thought for sure I was found when I heard a ringing. I heard a sigh and the ringing stopped, that’s when I first heard her angelic voice.

“Hello?”

Mystery girls P.O.V

Jeez why did I agree to this? I have to get out of here, it’s too crowded and I don’t much fancy being around a bunch of blood suckers. While everyone was caught up in the commotion I ducked through the crowd till I came to a door. It was really big. I put my ear to the door to listen for any voices. Nothing, great. Maybe I could get some peace and quiet for once. I slowly turned the brass handle and luckily it was unlocked.

As I stepped in I was blinded by all the fluorescent lights. Wow, someone likes their light. S my eyes adjusted to the lighting in this room I closed the door and leant against it, sliding my back against it till I hit the floor. I wrapped my arms around my legs and leant my head on my knees. I took a deep breath, hoping no one would come looking for me any time soon. After about 15 minutes I lifted my head wondering if anyone was coming. I stood up sighing in my head. “I had better get back” I thought to myself. I was about to turn towards to door when the curtain on the far right of the room moved. I wasn’t scared, just curious. I figured it was a rat or something, who knows what disgusting thing i would find here. I tip toed over to it trying to minimise the noise made by my footsteps but the hall had really great acoustics. I reached my hand out to pull back the curtain when my phone began ringing. I sighed flipping it open.

“Hello?” I growled

“Where did you go?” Anthony was on the other end, I could barely hear him with all the background noise. He was the one who dragged me here so i wasn't really in the mood to play nice.

“I just needed some space.” I rolled my eyes.

“Well get your ass back here, we are about to watch the show.” He sounded excited but I could say I shared the feeling.

“Look Anthony, I have seen it twice before, I don’t need to see it again. Just leave me alone and call when you are leaving, tell the other I said hi but don’t worry about me. Bye” I snapped my phone shut shoving it back in my pocket. I knew it was mean but right now i didn't care. I had a bad history with vampires, anytime away from them was a good time for me.

Chace’s P.O.V

Who was she? What was she? She smelt like a human but I felt her heart. It was different, it was not mortal. I had to meet her. I had to find out what she was. I her shoe squeaked on the floor as she turned to leave. Before I could think about what I was doing my hand grabbed her shoulder. She gripped my wrist as I did and flipped my over her sending my sliding across the slippery floor. Before I could regain clear vision I felt something cold on my chest. When I could finally see clearly I looked up to see a brunette girl with sky blue eyes staring down at me in anger. Her foot on my chest constricting my breathing. I tried best I could to keep my cool.

“Would you mind getting you foot off of me please?” I said in a seductive tone, but she kept her composure beautifully.

“Who are you and why were you hiding behind that curtain?!”

“I wasn't hiding, I was... uh I was” I tried thinking of something and she pressed her foot harder to my chest as to say ‘hurry up and spill it’. “I dropped my pencil." I finally choked out

She took her foot off my chest but kept her glare harsh. “Fine” she whispered as she turned to walk away.

“Wait” I yelled as she put her hand to the door knob. I didn’t want to be a jerk but it was the only way to get her stay. I needed to know her better, she has a certain aura I found comforting. I knew that if I let her go I would never see her again. “What are you doing here?”

She lifted her hand off the door knob and turned around. She huffed and said only one thing.

“I was looking for my pencil.” And with that she turned and left.
