Chapter 6

Cleo’s POV

I woke the sound of someone grunting next to me. I opened my eyes not remembering what had happened the night before. Suddenly it all came flooding back to me. I threw myself into a sitting position.

“Morning beautiful.” A husky voice came from next to me. I jumped out of bed and pointed a finger at him.

“WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!” I yelled at him in a croaky voice.

“Come back to bed.” He said seductively .

“What are you doing?” I repeated again, calmer this time.

“You fell asleep in my bed so I thought it was only fair that I join you.” He winked at me and I felt like I was about to hurl.

“Sorry.” I said looking at the floor.

“NO worries, you are kinda cute when you sleep.” I couldn’t help but smirk slightly. Maybe he was such a jerk after all.

I looked down to see that I wasn’t wearing my blue skinny jeans and yellow tank top that I was wearing yesterday. I was wearing a big baggy shirt that came to my mid thigh. I covered myself with my hand quickly.

“Where are my clothes?!” I yelled at him.

“ I got them washed. Is there a problem?” he grinned.

“YES THERE IS A PROBLEM! YOU TOOK MY CLOTHES OFF!”i yelled at him. I felt my face going red with anger.

“Relax, I got the maid to do it and it isn’t like she saw anything she hasn’t seen before.”

I was still angry but I decided to let it go, I was too tired to keep going.

Even though I hated him right now I crawled back into bed with my back facing towards him. I felt something warm wrap around my waist but I didn’t bother to pull away. I liked this feeling but it did bring back some bad memories. After a while I fell into a light sleep.

Chace’s POV

She climbed back into bed I turned so she wasn’t looking at me. I couldn’t help myself, I had to touch her. I wrapped my arms around her waist, I expected her to move out of my grip but she just snuggled into my chest and fell asleep again.

I listened to her heart beat and steady breathing. I tried listening to her thought but all I got was static, it was funny I was normally really good at reading people. But only if I was touching them but even now I hear nothing.

She rolled over so she was facing me, she looked so sweet when she was asleep. I watched her for what seemed like an eternity, I could have watched her for even longer if I could. My thoughts however were cut short when I watched a tear roll from her eye and onto my pillow. I wiped the tear from her eye and shook her awake.

“Huh?” she said looking sleepy.

“Cleo? Are you okay?” I asked trying to hide the genuine concern in my voice.

“Um yeah why?” she raised one of her eyebrows at me her voice saturated in curiosity.

“You were crying.” I told her caressing her cheek.

She immediately shot up and wiped the tears from her eyes.

“What were you dreaming about?” I asked her.

“Nothing. I don’t dream, not anymore.”

What did she mean by that? There so much misery in her eyes. I had to know what was going on in her head. I needed to go deeper. I needed to gain her trust so she would let me in.
