Chapter Four: Decisions
Sean's P.O.V
★★★★★★
RECAP
"We could go to a place by my house?" He said in the form of a question, rather than an answer.
I smiled to myself, giving him a nod to show my approval. As we continued to the school parking lot, he seemed to have an extra bounce to his step. Interesting.
"Sean meet baby, baby this is Sean. Please be nice to her, she's sensitive to judgement." Will said, causing my heart to palpitate in my chest.
Baby?
★★★★★★
I looked up, half expecting a blonde bimbo to be standing there, but instead I was faced with a car. Well, a truck, a very rusty, beat-up looking pick up truck to be exact. She is a Ford F-120 to be even more accurate. Her paint is a slick black color, rusted brown at the edges of the bottom. She has four-wheel drive, and near perfect interior, knockoff leather seats.
She has a beautiful CD player, paired with two stereos at the bottom of the car. There were two more speakers attached to the passenger and driver's doors, just below the door handles. Let's just say, baby is a very unique truck. Anyone's dream ride, one would have to hate life and all existence to not love this truck.
Baby and I are going to get along just fine.
"I'll take it as you like her?" Will asked, amusement lacing through his words and reaching out to tease me.
"Like her? I love her! Just look at her, she's the epitome of perfection!" I exclaimed, running my hands across her well dusted dashboard.
How I got in the car, I'll never know, but I can't say I'm complaining.
Will only chuckled and took his place in the driver's seat. I expected the our of her engine after he put the key in the ignition, but nothing sounded. There was silence as I continued to admire her interior. I unwillingly tore my gaze away from the 6 compacted disc stereo, to turn towards Will.
I opened my mouth to ask him why he hadn't started the car yet, only to find him already staring at me. He seemed to be in a daze, a weird look in his eyes. It was almost as if he was having some strange sensational sense of déjà vu. I slowly waved my hand in front of his face, chuckling when he jumped.
"You okay there? You kind of spaced out for a while there." I asked, a minute smile on my face.
"Yeah, sorry. I had the strangest feeling that this, or something like this, would mean a lot more to me in the future than it does at the moment." He explained, making absolutely no sense.
My eyebrows furrowed as my brain tried to comprehend his words, " what?"
His expression clouded over for a millisecond, causing a sliver of worry to course through me.
"Something like what, Will?" I urged.
The only answer I received was a shake of his head, and the engine roaring as he turned the key. With a defeated sigh, I snapped my seat belt on and leaned back. My gaze turned toward the window, inspecting the scenery as it rolled passed.
Everything is so pretty.
The sky is light blue, the sun is out and proud, and the grass was looking a minty green. I sighed in contempt, today seemed like a good day to take a slow walk through a park or something.
