HAZEL POV As I sat on my bed looking at the empty room I grew up in. "Honey hurry up we are going to be late" my mom shouted from the stair case and she ran around making sure I had everything
I took a deep breath and grabbed my last box. Before leaving I saw something shinning in my eyes I closed my eyes slightly as I walked to a picture that made my heart dropped
It was a picture of my late father and I. When I was three my father was coming home earlier from work as it was my birthday.
The police said he was not paying attention and drove into a truck that had heavy equiptment and later on past away in the hospital holding a necklackce with a picture of us in it
I jumped as I felt someone hugging me from behind
"I am sorry for scaring you" My boyfriend Chase said as he wipped my tears of my face
"I-it is ok" I said not taking my eyes of the picture
"I know you miss him Grace but I know if he was here he would be so proud of you" he said holding me as I cried
"What time is it?!'' I aked breaking away from his embrace as I grabbed my phone
"Come on were late to your first day" Chase said grabbing my hand rushing to my mom
"You got everything Gracie?" My mom asked as she tucked a piece of my hair behind my ear
"Yea mom I have everything" I said looking to make sure
"Do not worry Mrs.Prior if she forgets something I would personaly drive there and give it to her. I promise" he said as he took the box out of my hand
"My sweet girl I am so proud of the strong,smart,kind and beautiful you habe become today if your dad was here he would be so proud of you and I am sure he is looking down at you with so much happiness" She said crying as she held me tightly
"Mom I love you and dad so much but you promised you would not cry" I said wipping her tears away
~One Hour Later~
"We are her Gracie let's go see your new home" Chase said helping me with the boxes
As I walked in I was pushed a little by a guy he was tall had hazel eyes perfect hair and body. What am I even thinking I have a boyfriend
I said pushing my taughts away. I walkee into the room seeing my mom mad as Chase pack some of my books and packed them in the empty bookshelf next to my bed
"Hey" I said as I saw a girl on a bed smoking. She had platium hair,piercings and alot of tatoos
"When they said I was getting a freshman I was super mad but now that I saw you I am happy I can be your guardian angel and I can help you get into bar with out an Id. I am Carly by the way" she said taking a puff of her Vape
"Hazel,Hazel Grace Prior" I said hugging her
I then saw my mom rush out of the room
"We are going to the head of department and get you a new room I do not want you in a company like that" she said as she got angery
"Mom calm down please and it is me we are talking about I would never do those things and I came to college with a dream" I said sitting in a near by bench with her
"You are right I do trust you" she said putting her hands on her head as she got up and hugged me tightly before going into the car
"Well I guess this is it Miss Prior" chase said hugging me
"Do not worry I would visit home offten I promise" I said kissing him before he got into the car
I watched them as they drove of before I went to my room to get started on putting my stuff away
