Cinder was slowly but surely regaining the ability to move her legs. Sometimes she would get off of her wheelchair for a few seconds before collapsing back down on it. Tselic and Theo were normally by her side, aiding her, but she insisted she didn't need any help.
Amy was usually teaching Seiren new things, while Sera taught him how to use his powers. Orbit would also tag along, but would always make sure Midori was doing okay.
The six falinks don't really visit that often, but when they do, they do their best to satisfy everyone. Especially Sun. To Amy. Because he might like her. A lot.
Everything was slow, but was going along well.
That is, until that one day.
Cinder was in her bed, looking for her wheelchair. "It's.... not here..." She muttered. She slowly slipped out of her bed, cursing softly at the pain. She used the walls to progress out of the room. "Where's my wheelchair...?" Cinder muttered, her legs starting to really hurt. It was night, so many Pokémon that were visiting have already left and went home, so she had no luck on finding any of her friends.
Cinder saw a chair and limped over to it, collapsing into it. "Seriously, where did it go?" Cinder wondered.
"Who are you again?" A voiced sounded. Cinder turned around, and saw the door to another hospital room. "Uhhh....." Cinder didn't know this voice. "Are you looking for something? It's late." They said. "Yeah... my wheelchair." Cinder whimpered as she tried standing up, but fell to the floor on her knees. "Wait.... do you happen to be a Cinderace that goes by the name of Cinder?" The voice sounded again. "...Why do you need that information..?" Cinder asked. The door opened, and Midori stood right there. "Well, I think that Salazzle that's after you is still looking for you." She said, frowning. Cinder gagged a little. "Y-Yeah... I kinda realized." Cinder muttered.
Midori helped Cinder to her feet, despite being shorter. "Who exactly are you?" "I'm a cinderace on a soccer team." Cinder said emotionlessly. "Mhm.~" Midori hummed. "..." Cinder looked at Midori.
...
...
......The two of them just stood there in silence. Cinder started walking again, looking for her wheelchair, but she couldn't shake off this feeling.
It felt like....
Incoming doom.... fear.... despair.....
Something was wrong.
Cinder sighed and gave up on her search for her wheelchair. She then started progressing back to her room, but the uneasy feeling grew larger.
When she approached the door, she stood where the door would end up, and slowly opened it.
Out shot Salazzle, expecting to see Cinder in front of the door, already had her tail lashing out, but no one was there. "W-What?!" He hissed. "How did you even get in my room??" Cinder asked. Salazzle looked at her with disgust. "This is a hospital. We're taking it outside." Cinder rolled her eyes. The venomous lizard narrowed her eyes at Cinder. "Why should I listen to you, bunnygirl?" She sneered, walking up to Cinder. "Do you wanna alert everyone?" Cinder crosses her arms, backing away. "That is an extremely good point." The Salazzle groaned. "Get outside; now." She hissed as she crawled on all fours away. Cinder stood there, a bit fearful as she slowly followed the Salazzle. Midori looked up at Cinder. "Why would you go? You're actually gonna die this time." She asked. Cinder looked back at her.
"I have a little hope, but it's not enough." Cinder shook her head. "Hope? For what?! Winning? You can't win in your state!" Midori yelled. Cinder smiled at her. "But trying is enough, also.... it's not much, but....." Cinder stopped talking, and looked away from the confused Dark/Fairy Pokémon. "....Nevermind. Anyways, I'm going." Cinder walked off with a limp, leaving Midori there in shock. "This.... is not good. I have to call Orbit."
