The Lei Clan carry simple, double-edged blades with them. Unlike most clans, there are plane and simple while all the details and name are carved on the sheath.

Their fighting style is based on two things: Vital Points and Footwork.

Their style requires fewer spins and better footwork. Clan members often spend months practising basic footwork and techniques before going against a real opponent. They use the footwork to give the advantage during fights with stronger opponents, focusing on using the momentum to their advantage. When they fight, they go for clean cuts on vital points such as the neck, the tendons in the arms, the back of knees and heel. If they strike the chest, the always aim for lungs and heart.

Abilities:

All clan members have basic training in the medical field, able to use herbs and simple materials to attend wounds until a professional is found. Their expertise comes from their healing talismans where they use their spiritual energy to speed up the healing process of mend bones and deep wounds.

They are especially proud of their secretive talismans which give them an advantage during night hunts and only members of the clan after a certain year as disciple learn it. Specific few are reserved for the main family only.

History:

300 years before the main story takes place, a main disciple of the Lan clan was kicked out due to a shameful situation. He travelled across the land, helping those needed a cultivator and slowly got a few disciples of his own. Once he grew older, he and his student chose to reside in the Lei Village, residing on top of Lei Mountain.

The Lan Clan, having their in the land; they didn't agree with the idea and soon argued with his new clan; named after the mountain. Yet, due to their etiquettes and the small size of the new clan, no harsh movement took place and the two clans ignored each other for the years to come.

When Wen Mao obtained the Yin Iron shards, Lei was one of the smaller clans which took place in the war. They suffered a great loss by the end just like the other clans. Due to their actions, the Lan Clan finally made peace and the two of them never crossed the boundaries of the other.

Personality:

Zhouan's character has a lot of traits which she copied from her elder brother. She learnt how to be humble and respectful to non-cultivators who survived a simple life without any training or spiritual energy. Knowing she was born special, she always is ready to stand up for those who cannot and use her training and abilities for good.

Following her clan's principle of 'Bringno harm to those who have done no harm' she refuses to kill innocents or punish people for the crimes of others. She will stand strong to her opinions despite how many might argue against her. She is not afraid to stand up even if she has to be alone. She is known for her stubbornness, never backing down unless someone forces her to. If it is over the well-being of someone she cares and loves, she will fight it verbally and even physically.

She hates showing weakness, knowing she is often underestimated for her gender by many of her peers and seniors. For that, she shows only strength and puts up with whatever she has to; refusing to let anyone see her breaking down, not even for a little bit. She will only show her vulnerability to few and very closed ones but that even rarely.

Due to her feminine face, she knows how to use it to emphasize the point behind words but also try to draw allies during a political argument. If she wants, she can be mindful of her words and only a single phrase can either humiliate someone or anger them. Yet, she doesn't use it unless she has to defend someone or if she despises someone. If she does, she will make it obvious enough and always go against.

Despite being a younger sister, she has an older sister protective vibe which goes not only to her family and people but also to those she cares, no matter the bloodline. If she decides that someone is close to her, she immediately considers them as a family and will do anything to protect them.

She has a really good poker face, letting her eyes only to speak how she feels and a fierce temper. Yet, through meditation and constant breathing; she controls it perfectly. The only way for her to lose her temper is either something deeply personal takes place or if she gets tired. The more tired she is, the harder for her to keep her 'mask' on.
