Divinity, had just gone into the living room and started on her homework. Meecho's phone goes off. He grabs it and looks at the text.
Derrick- So I had to find out like this: ( he inserted the picture of them kissing at the pier)
Meecho dials Derrick and heads upstairs and outside on the patio.
Derrick picks up on the first ring. You fucking my daughter.
Meecho- No, I'm not. I wasn't trying to sneak around behind your back either. I'm doing exactly what you asked me to do, look out for your baby girl. I also happen to like her as well.
Derrick you didn't say anything to me about that.
Meecho - with all due respect, I had to make sure that the feeling was mutual. Come on man you know me...
Derrick exactly! You know how we met! Nicca if anything happens to my baby girl that's your ass.
Meecho don't threaten me man. I would bring no harm to your daughter.....
Divinity- MEECHO MEECHO....wake up!
Meecho jumps up and looks around
Divinity says what's wrong?
Meecho says I just had a crazy ass nightmare about your dad.
Divinity what?, Why?
Meecho- Come on get your stuff, It's getting late..
Divinity doesn't question him. She just gets up and smooths her side of the bed and packs her bags.
When they pulled back up to the house Derrick was having a glass of Bourbon. Divinity walks in and Meecho walks in and says good evening Derrick.
Derrick says what up man.
Meecho says can I talk to you for a minute in the office.
Derrick sure what's up.
Meecho drops Divinity's bags in her room first and goes in the office with Derrick, closing the door behind him.
Derrick says what's up man?
Meecho says I'm just going to get straight to it. I like Divinity, and this weekend, I asked her to be my girl.
Derrick takes a sip of his bourbon. Is that right? He eyes Meecho, so you want to be the other man in my daughter's life. He stands up. That is a huge responsibility, but you good people. Just don't hurt my daughter.
Meecho I wouldn't dream of it sir.
Derrick. Good, I would hate to make that shit a nightmare.
Meecho looks him square in the eye. He had only been on earth 18 years, but nothing scared him. Not even Divinity's pops.
Meecho puts his hand our for a shake. Derrick shakes it.
Derrick Divinity come here please.
Divinity walks into the room and says yes daddy?
Derrick so Meecho, just shared the news with me that the two of you are dating.
Divinity says that's correct.
