warnings: none

Noon time came, and Angel was walking towards the gazebo. Her arms were crossed in front of her as she approached the small wooden fixture. Damon was already stood under it, watching out the other side to people who were walking around the park to enjoy their day. Angel's shoes clicked against the wood, making him turn around to face her. A small smile grew on his face as she took a few steps towards him.

"You came," he said, taking his hands off the wooden rail.

"I felt like I deserved some closure," she said, nodding at him slightly. He motioned to the bench, the two of them sitting down on it. Angel stared forward as Damon looked to her, thinking about how to start this conversation. "You said you'd tell me everything." He nodded slightly at her words. "So, tell me everything." She looked to him, Damon frowning slightly as he knew what this meant.

"Are you sure?" he asked. "There's some points where it's really bad."

"I don't care. Everything up until yesterday," Angel said again, making him nod slightly. So he told her everything. From when he was human, to the war, Katherine, when he turned, the rest of the 1800's, all of it. He even told her about Enzo. He found that to be the hardest thing to do. Telling Angel about how he left Enzo to die. He told her about all the people he'd killed, every single bad and good thing in his life.

Angel sat on the bench, arms crossed as she listened to him finally tell her about what happened the day before. Tony trying to kill Damon, Stefan making Tony a vampire, the girl, the broken wood, all of it. He told her every last bit of information she needed to know.

"I'm sorry, Angel," he said, trying to take one of her hands. She almost pulled away, but shut her eyes for a moment. "I really am sorry, for everything. For dragging you into this mess, for putting you in danger, for-" Angel cut him off by pressing her lips against his. Damon was shocked by the kiss at first, but rose one of his hands to cup her cheek. Angel sat up as she scooted closer to him, one of her hands grabbing him at the nape of his neck. They got lost in the moment with each other, never wanting to leave that gazebo. Once they both pulled away, Angel looked at Damon. Her other hand went up to his face, and her thumb stroked his cheek slightly. He smiled, leaning into her touch. "What are you thinking?" Angel hesitated for a moment, tilting her head at Damon.

"I always thought if I was kind to the world, the world would be kind back to me, and it has. It gave me you," she told him in a quiet voice. He stared at her for a moment.

"Katherine's never coming back," Damon told her. "I haven't worried about her in years. You, and only you, have all of my love and all of my attention." Damon took her hands in his, kissing her knuckles slightly. "Call me old fashioned, but I want to be with you forever. As long as that means for us."

"But you've only known me for six months," Angel told him, lowering her head.

"It takes for minutes to fall in love," Damon responded. "And not long after that it's easy to decide that I want you and only you, Angel. You've only ever been kind to me." She smiled slightly at him, leaning forward again and kissing him lightly.

"We can spend however much time we can together, but we have to do something first," Angel said, nodding slightly as she thought about it.

     "Anything," Damon responded.

"We need to help Tony," she said. Damon's face changed, Angel sitting up before he could protest. "I know he killed someone yesterday, and he tried to kill me, but Damon you've... You've just told your life story to me and I'm still giving you a chance. It's time we give him one, too." He was silent for a few seconds before he nodded slightly.
