It was another boring day for Gary, working in the office because nothing exciting was happening around Hatchetfield. He decided to take a quick walk to the local Starbuck to get a coffee and maybe a doughnut. Once he got his drink he decides to sit on one of the comfy chairs to relax for a while.

Rushing, I grab my latte and try to keep my laptop from falling on the floor. I look around to see if there any empty tables left but the only open space has a man sat at the table already. Admittedly he is cute, and the glasses suit him well, but that's the least of my problems right now. "Excuse me, sorry to bother you but could I sit here? I really need to finish my writing and I can't get home in time," he looks up from his phone and his blue eyes gaze into mine. He nods and I quickly take a seat across from him and immediately start working on my report.

"If you don't mind me asking, what are you  writing?" I glance up to meet his eyes and look down again, continuing to type away.

"An article, I'm a journalist, I work for the Hatchetfield Times," suddenly he seems to brighten up a bit and sits up. From there he asks me questions about who I've worked with and if I've ever worked in law. I answered all his questions and told him that I really wanted to write about what it was like to be an attorney.

"Apparently there is a new attorney-at-law that is amazing, he can persuade anyone to do almost anything! I think his name is Gary something, I can't remember," I realise that I'm rambling so I just go quiet and look down as I sip my latte.

"Gary Goldstein?" He looks almost shocked and happy that I knew anything about him at all. I nod and he smiles encouragingly, as if he knows I want to talk about it more.

"From what I heard, he is so good that he could make the president do anything he wanted. Honestly I just really want to meet him and work with him," as I finish I look over to the man sitting with me and realise I don't actually know his name. We go off the topic soon and talk about other things like were we grew up and if we had any pets.

"Oh my god, I'm so sorry but I should get going, but it was great talking to you um, sorry what's your name?" I smile apologetically and stand up, grabbing my stuff. He stands up too and helps me grab my stuff.

"Gary Goldstein, attorney-at-law" and as if I didn't praise him like a god he turns to me and smiles while putting his hand out for me to shake. I place my stuff down and move his hand so I can hug him instead. We stay that way for a while before I pull away so I'm arms length away. He smiles down at me and asks if I want to work on a case with him.

"Wait really, you'd want my help?" I can't help but let a huge smile take over my face as he nods. Internally I squeal and then I realise something. The thought of having his number makes me blush and butterflies erupt in my stomach. Gary seems to notice my sudden nervousness and asks if I'm ok.

"Y-yeah, um I was wondering if I could have your number? For work purposes of course," I swear I see disappointment cross his face at the last part but I ignore it and get my phone out as he does. We swap phones and quickly type away. Once we're done we pass our phones back and he asks what I'm doing for the rest of the day.

"Well I'm supposed to go to my office to print some reports off, but I guess I could do something else if you don't have any plans," heat rises to my cheeks at the thought of spending more time with Gary, who is admittedly more attractive than I would have expected.

"I have nothing else to do, so we could go back to my apartment if you wanted," he rubs his neck nervously while smiling at the floor.

"I would love too,"
