"Oi" the voice of the person you didn't want to hear called out to you as you silently winced, knowing exactly what's going to happen next.

You turned to the direction to the person calling you. "I brought some 'friends'. I hope you don't mind." Shit. You mentally cursed as you held your head down, tears falling down from your face, shivering at their presence. "Aww, what's this? Crying already?" the person standing in front of you said, slightly chuckling as the person aggressively pushed you as you fell omg the ground. "You're weak." One of them said, landing a kick to your side. "You're worthless." Another one said, kicking your stomach as you let out a loud wince, placing your on your face as you choked in between your sobs as they continued to spit rather hurtful insults and kicks to your body. "S-stop. Please." You begged yet they still didn't listen nor stop either.

Genya's POV

I was walking through the hallways as I heard muffled voices from a corner. I went to check what the fuss was all about, when I did, I was shocked and disturbed at the sight that was happening on front of me. An innocent student, laying on the ground being kicked again and again by a bunch if bullies.

The sight soon made me furious and I decided to intervene.

Your POV

"Hey! Stop that!"

A voice yelled as the bullies kicking me suddenly stopped. I removed my arms from my face to see who that person was. "What the hell do you want?" One of them spat out. "Mind your own damn business if you don't want trouble." Another one spat.

"What do you think you're doing?" The boy question with a rather scary face and stern voice questioned. "Leave them alone or I'll report you, actually I'll report you either way." The said boy said again. "So leave." He continued, his voice deeper and more stern as he let out a low growl afterwards.

No one's POV

"Tsk, let's go. This is getting boring." One of them said, leaving. Then, the scary looking face of the boy softened when he saw you. He got closer but you backed away, afraid of what he'll do. "Hey, it's okay. I'm not gonna hurt you." He said comfortingly, letting your guard down as he got closer holding his hand out for you to grab to which you hesitantly accepted. "Are you okay?" He asked. You shook your head in response as he offered to help you walk to the infirmary as you thanked him.

The walk was silent until you both arrived in the infirmary as the school nurse was patching you up. Then she started asking you questions. "How does it feel? Does it still hurt?" She asked as you just nodded in response. "Who did this to them?" She then asked the boy beside you as he explained the people who did this to you; he stayed there to keep you company. "Excuse me, could you please accompany them as they leave?" The nurse politely requested as the boy accepted, but you, as a shy person, internally panicked. ' What if he starts talking and I'd accidentally tune him out?!' You thought as you flinched at the slight tap on your shoulder. As you turned around to see a concerned look on the boy's face. 'Oh no, did I offend him or something??' You thought to yourself again.

"Are you okay?" He asked as you replied with a silent yes. He then reached his hand out for you to take as you looked at him with a confused expression. Then after a while of just looking at his hands, you accepted it, silently saying 'sorry' as he told you not to mind.

The walk was silent and got awkward as you got out, until he started to speak. "I'm Genya. Genya Shinazugawa." He introduced himself, trying to break the awkward silence. "Y-Y/N. Y/N L/N" you stammered as you replied. Then it got silent again. You both bid your goodbyes as you reached your house after thanking him for accompanying you. As you entered your home, you then realized. 'Wait, I forgot to thank him about today... M-maybe I can thank him tomorrow..' You thought to yourself signing in the process. Then just decided to rest after today.

The next day came and as you went inside, you didn't see the three bullies from yesterday. Who would usually be waiting for you at your locker. You brushed it off as you thought that they would probably be waiting in the classroom to avoid getting too much attention first thing in the morning. But as you arrived in the classroom, they weren't there either. You sighed in relief but also felt suspicious. Then later during lunch, you decided to look for the boy who saved you yesterday to thank him. As you found him, you then saw that he was surrounded by some people. "Must be his friends.." You silently murmured to yourself as you just awkwardly waited for them to go so you could thank him personally. Unfotunately he saw you and decided to excuse himself from his friends to see if you needed anything. You then began to panic a little as he started walking towards you as you shifted your gaze down to the floor.

"Hey, you're the person from yesterday! I hope you're feeling okay now. Do you need anything?" He asked. "Y-yes. I-I'm alright.." You stammered, remembering you need to thank him. "A-also, t-thank you, for s-saving me y-yesterday..." You stuttered as you thanked him, bowing in the process. "No problem! Also, if you're wondering where those bad guys are, then they got suspended since I reported them! So no need to worry anymore!" He said smiling as he patted your head(Genya is taller here but tell me if you want to change it). You blushed at the sudden gesture the boy did but as soon as you processed the thing he said, you were shocked. "Y-you didn't have to do that you know!" You slightly yelled, causing the boy known as Genya in front of you to be shocked, gaining some attention from the students in his class but brushed it off after. "S-sorry.. B-but, it's just t-too much.." You apologized and continued as you lowered your head. "It's alright. But I can't just leave them be and get you hurt again. You're not an object nor a toy and you should keep that in mind." He explained, leaving you speechless as you were touched by what he said to you, he then continued, "So, if they're ever bothering you again, tell me and I'll be there to save you!" He said with a cheeky grin while closing his eyes. As you looked up and saw his smile, it made you feel giddy inside as butterflies were fluttering in your stomach, with pink hues on your cheeks as you saw his face. At this moment, you knew, that you, you were saved.  And Genya, was your saviour and the one, who restored the faith and hope in you.
