Chapter 6

* Shelby's POV*

   Yes! My plan on making Chelby forgive me worked! Those artificial tears from those eyedrop thingy really does work! I thought it only works in movies!

   I need to fool Chelby..why?its because i really can not let her be with Alfred. Okay, maybe its not all because I didn't want Chelby to get hurt that I pushed her away from Alfred...maybe a little part of me still loves him..

   After Chelby had forgiven me, we went to school together. When we had arrived and went into the building, I spotted Maureen at the corner. Damn! I had forgotten to tell her i'm pretending to be nice to Chelby! I'll just keep on pretending and i'll tell Maureen all about it later.

   It was my first time talking back to Maureen, to be honest, I was the only girl in school that had talked back to Maureen.

   She seemed really shocked when I defended Chelby from her insults, really shock and furious I can even see her face red of anger. I'll just hope that she can forgive me from talking back with her.

   Finally, she walked off. I was so relieved because i couldn't stand lying to her. After she had disappeared from my sight I excused myself from Chelby to go to my locker to take out my books for the first lesson of the day.

  I'll just talk to Maureen during lunch.

*Chelby's POV*

   The bell for lunch finally rang and I literally ran towards Alfred's locker ( he told me to meet him there as we only had 1 lesson together ).

   I quickly spotted Alfred leaning on his locker.

   ''Heyy,'' he greeted as soon as I reached his locker.

   '' Let's go to the cafeteria, shall we?'' he asked and I nodded. Soon, we were sat at one corner of the cafeteria.

   Before we sat down, I had already took my lunch which consists of mac n cheese and apple juice accompanied by a chocolate brownie. Alfred who had not taken his lunch yet stood up to line in the food line. So, I sat alone on a corner while waiting for him to come back. I must look like a loner now.

   After Alfred had come back with his food, i quickly excused myself to the bathroom. 

When i reached the bathroom, I went in one of the vacant cubicles.

   I was about to lock the cubicle door when I heard girls outside. From their voices, I think it was Shelby and...Maureen?

   I listened closely because its weird that just this morning Shelby talked back to Maureen and now? they were giggling in the toilet like ol' bff.

   '' By the way, I'm really sorry Maureen, I had to talk back to you because I need Chelby to trust me first,'' Shelby said to Maureen.

   '' Its ok, I heard your reasons. And i think i'll help out?'' Maureen asked Shelby.

   '' Kayyy!! thanks a lot Maureen! and FYI we must act like enemies in front of Chelby, 'kays??'' the high pitched voice from Shelby asked Maureen.

   '' Kay. To make Chelby trust you to not to get near Alfred right?'' Maureen asked Shelby.

  Wait....what? What the heck were they talking about!

   '' Yup, now, lets go, i'm starving, anyway, why were we in the toilet in the first place? '' Shelby joked followed by lots of giggling from them both.

   '' don't know, lets go,'' Maureen told Shelby and after that I heard door closing.

   'What......were they talking about?' I wondered to myself.
