I turn my cheek, music up

And I'm puffing my chest

I'm getting ready to face you

Can call me obsessed

It's not your fault that they hover

I mean no disrespect

It's my right to be hellish

I still get jealous

Cady's POV

I didn't think Cain could persuade mom so easily. He argued to let me go out for Halloween instead of staying with him at the hospital. Dad stayed with him, even as I dressed for the party it was different without him.

In the regular world, Halloween is when children dress up in costumes and beg for candy. In Girl World, Halloween is the one night a year when a girl can dress like a total slut and no other girls can say anything about it. The hard-core girls just wear lingerie and some form of animal ears. Unfortunately, no one told me about the slut rule. So I showed up like this.

A ghost bride with pale skin, long black hair, red lipstick, fake teeth, and wearing a vintage wedding dress. Cain would have worn a ripped up tux with a decapitated head.  I found Karen and Gretchen near the fireplace.

"Hey." I spooked Karen as I approached.

"Why are you dressed so scary?" She asked, red solo cup in hand. A grey headband with ears on them, wearing a short black dress.

"It's Halloween." I replied.

"Have you seen Jason?" Gretchen asked, looking around the crowd, decked out in a black latex leather suit with cat ears.

"You know who's looking fine tonight? Seth Mosakowski." Karen said, while shamelessly looking at the jock.

"OK, you did not just say that." Gretchen judged, looking slightly disgusted.

"What? He's a good kisser." Karen defended.

"He's your cousin." That's disturbing.

"Yeah, but he's my first cousin."

"Right." Gretchen said, unconvinced.

"So you have your cousins and then you have your first cousins, then you have your second cousins..." Karen tried explaining.

"No, honey." Gretchen said, patronizingly.

"That's not right, is it?"

"That is so not right." She agreed.
