Camilla Red was sobbing about her boyfriend. She could tell her friend Jessica was getting annoyed, but she kept talking anyway.
"Just-just why would he do this??" Camilla said into the phone.
"Maybe it was because you spent all of his money on that stupid necklace," replied Jessica. More sobbing from the other end. "Okay. Fine. You were ju- KRGHSHCHT" Static. The phones had broken up. "Great," Camilla sighed.
She stood up and shuffled through her cramped duplex.
"Powers out," she mumbled. She went into her bathroom and turned on the light. She looked in the mirror. "God, I look terrible." Then it dawned on her. The power wasn't out, because she had turned the light on. CRASH! Something had fallen over in her kitchen. Camilla turned to open the door of the bathroom, but a large what looked like a six fingered hand grabbed her face and threw her into the wall of the hallway. Stumbling down the hallway in pain and terror, she reached for a knife in the open kitchen, only to be knocked on the head with only what felt like leathery tentacle.
She then awoke in the forest, being dragged through the dirt and rocks, Camilla tried to scream but was muffled because at that very moment her throat tightened up so she couldn't scream... or breath. Camilla was then thrown into a branch of a spruce tree, slowly after her life flashed before her eyes. She died staring at her necklace hanging on another branch.
