A QUIET DAY IN YOUR SMALL, PRIVATE OFFICE. That's what you were hoping for - a day where you could get all of your paperwork done, a day where you could finally come around to researching that spy case you had to do. Though, due to unfortunate circumstances, you were collapsed in your uncomfortable desk chair, already bored of what you had to do, and already bored of Daisuke's annoyingly smug voice that drilled into your head.

" So, ( y/n ). " Daisuke started, and you could hear the stupid smirk he wore on his face.

You frowned, pinching your flagella, " Call me Miss ( l/n ), ( l/n ), or Agent ( l/n ). Do not use such a personal name, Mr Billionaire. "

" Oh? When you're using such an... intriguing nickname, how could I resist calling you by your cute name? "

" Postpone your flirty nature. " You said firmly. You could have had hung up on this call already, but knowing the guy you were speaking to, he'd probably go all out to 'keep in touch'. Why was he so... annoying? Why couldn't he just leave you be?

" I'll give you money, if you wed me. "

You almost spat out the non-existent coffee that was in your mouth. And you proceeded to laugh. Laugh to your hearts content, laugh at this joke Daisuke made. It was inexplicable to think why this man - who virtually INVADES your personal privacy - thinks you will accept his marriage proposal... for money.

" Are you kidding me? " You snorted, speaking into the phone once more, " Money isn't everything, asshole. Offer declined. " You continued doing your dreary work, filling out small information files and researching small cases. " And anyway, that's not how love works, honey. "

Daisuke said nothing, and you felt like you had a brief moment of victory. If your mini explanation had wiped that smug expression of his face, then you would feel like you had won all wars - Daisuke was an annoying man, an annoyingly smug man, an annoyingly smug, rich man. To align with your true feelings towards him: Yes, he was pretty damn attractive, sort of smart, but he had a... dirt personality. What was up with the "money means everything"? Why?

" So, ( y/n ), " And his voice was back. Great, " How about you and me... go on a little... stakeout? It's only natura- " Feeling a little fed up of Daisuke, you quickly hung up, sighing, residing relief within you. He was gone... for at least two minutes or so. You had to stop him from at least calling you. Blocking numbers didn't mean anything either. You racked your brain for solutions, finding little to none.

50 minutes left of work. 50 minutes left of this hell. 50 minutes.

You tapped away at your computer once more, ignoring your ringing phone, and searching up files on the next task you had to do. You were to be assigned to a police station, to be observing any suspicious activity within the police station, to see if there was... a traitor. According to your files and documents, there was suspicious activity regarding drugs, abuse of power, and also, a minor issue, lack of disciplinary. Honestly, you questioned why you were picked out for this job - you were a government agent! A Naichō agent, at that! Why were you pushed down to doing such... trivial tasks?

The ringing phone was getting on your nerves, and you sighed, tapping the green button that would allow you to answer the call. You had no need to look at the name, knowing fully well who it would be.

" I'm looking forward to working with you, ( y/n ). "

" Holy shit, no. Are you fucking kidding me? "
