STARING IN AWE AT THE HUMUNGOUS HOUSE, you followed Suzue through the large entrance, her guiding you into a large dining area with a magnificent table.

" Uhm, " You hummed, looking around the mansion, drinking in the magnificent appearance. Your eyes studied the wallpaper, the floorings, the objects and furniture within the corridors, feeling a sense of familiarity.

" Are you rich? " You asked, looking down, feeling a little embarrassed that you had to ask such a question. Suzue laughed, her laughter sounded sweet and pure, but you didn't really know if she was actually sweet and pure. You internally shrugged anyway; free food meant she was nice, right?

" Yes, I suppose I have a lot of money, " She smiled, cheeks glowing with a soft hue of pink, " It's due to my parents. "

" Right... " You mumbled, glancing at your watch, checking the time, " Okay... " You felt pressurised by how big the house was, " What... are we eating? "

" Oh, just some lobster. "

You choked on your own spit, staring at her in shock, " Just Lobster? Holy fuck. " You started, " Lobster is expensive! How- " You stopped mid sentence, remembering that you were in a mansion, a large mansion, with extravagant items, " Wait, oh yeah. You're rich. " Suzue laughed once more, and you awkwardly joined in, unsure of what to say. She guided you to a humungous room that contained a large, extravagant dining table, to which you gaped at. How could someone be so rich? Well, of course, there was the annoying Daisuke, but he wasn't really your main concern at the moment.

" Do you mind if my brother joined us for dinner? " Suzue asked, voice sweet and mellow - you swore her voice sounded like angels singing, and it was making your stomach tumble with excitement.

" Of course not! I'm sure your brother is as nice as you are, " A simple compliment to lighten the mood (though, you already thought it was quite comfortable due to Suzue making the atmosphere seem appealing). Her smile seemed to brighten (if possible) and her eyes seemed to sparkle, as if they also held a great smile. Your heart warmed at this.

" Great! I'll go get him now. Maybe you could... get along...! " She winked at you, and she looked like she was suppressing a great laughter. You died to hear her sweet voice once more, but you also questioned why she would laugh. The atmosphere had loosened itself into a casual feeling, but there was a sense of suspicion arising within you, and you couldn't help but feel threatened, for some reason. You dismissed the thought, instead dreaming of the fancy seafood, but also groaned at the thought of the smell, or the meal being incredibly disgusting. You face scrunched with distaste.

" Daisuke, through this door, please. " You blinked. You blinked once more. Daisuke...? Did you hear right? Or were you going insane over the lack of interaction you two had had during the past few days? ...Daisuke...?

" Please eat with me! I promised the guest that you'd eat with us... " You could hear only Suzue's voice, and couldn't hear the other's. You assumed he was speaking in a whisper; seriously, who would speak that quiet? He was barely audible.

" Fine. " Is all you hear, and it was not Suzue's voice. Realisation struck your face; Daisuke. It was Daisuke, no doubt, his authoritative yet annoying and deep voice echoed throughout the hallways, and you could now hear it, probably because he was: 1. fed up of Suzue's... begging...? 2. annoyed and probably a little tired from working, so he may have only raised his voice due to the irritant feelings he may have felt.

Great. How could you not recognise the hints; The familiarity of the house, Suzue not telling you her last name, Suzue being acquainted with Haru, it was all obvious - well, apparently except to you. You felt stupid to have not have realised it sooner.

" Hello, welcome to our- " Daisuke looked at you, pupils widening in shock, before continuing on as if nothing happened, " House. I hope you enjoy the meal that will be provided by our personal chefs. "

You were unsure if you wanted to keep the 'no contact treatment' you'd been having for the past few days. Your feelings felt fatal in such a situation, so you simply blocked them
out and acted according to your instincts.

" Look, Suzue," You began, breathing in, " I'm going to leave. Me and your brother, " You shot him a nasty look, " Aren't on... good terms at the moment. So, please excuse me- "

" No-! " She cried, latching herself onto your arm, preventing you from escaping, " Please stay for the meal. The food is good, and you won't have to interact with my brother, I swear I'll make sure of it! Please, stay. " She seemed like a child whining to their mother about buying candy from a shop, begging to get their way. You sighed, giving into what she wanted, shaking her arm off your own.

" Fine. Only because of you, Suzue, and definitely not because of that asshole over there. " You glared at him once more, Daisuke noticing, and you saw him flinch and look to the ground, almost looking ashamed.

" Yay! " Suzue cried, grinning brightly, " I'll go tell the chefs to prepare the food! You two have a nice conversation! "

" So much for the whole 'preventing interaction with idiot' thing. " You muttered, placing yourself into a chair and lying your head on the desk, thinking of all the work you had to do. Anxiety bubbled within you, and you couldn't help but think about the consequences this dinner may bring (to your work and your relationships).

" GOD DAMNIT. " You said aloud, surprising Daisuke, " I HATE BEING A... " Oh no, " A PASTRY CHEF...! "

Daisuke stifled a laugh.

" SHUT UP. " You stated (yelled?), throwing your arms into the air dramatically, " You know how hard it is to sit through mountains of paperwork? Being a 'spy' - " While muttering the word 'spy' with a look of disgust on your face, you also added are quotes and body movement to enforce your exhaustion, " - isn't as fun as it seems. So... shut up. " You slumped back onto the table, staring at the soft silky cloth that was laid atop it.

There was too much going on, and your brain didn't have the time to process it - ounces of paperwork, going on a stupid trip, other important but not worth mentioning stuff and dinner with the Daisukes. So much was going on, and now you had to deal with something that felt so trivial, but in reality, was more troubling to you.
