YOUR FIRST DAY ON THE JOB WAS GOING WELL. Well, you were being sarcastic. Meeting up with the superintendent general and trying to assign your role there was terrible - if the Naicho wanted you in the 3rd division, they wanted you in the third division. However, the general (for no apparant reason) appeared to refuse any ideas of putting you into the third division, and you had to call some 'back-up agents' to help him understand that you were required to go to such a 'lowly division' (of course, you wouldn't condone violence, it was simply just a small explanation, and inducing a tad bit of fear).

So now you were trying to find where civilisation ACTUALLY was. You couldn't find anyone, and since it was your first time 'on the job', you had no idea where to go. The terribly drawn map that the general had given you was proving to be useless.

" Feeling lost? " You ignored the voice, continuing to stare at the tiny hand-drawn map, trying to figure out where to go. " Don't be so cold, Lady ( y/n ). "

You resisted the urge to slap him, and also resisted the urge to look at and appreciate his early morning appearance, disregarding your other feelings, disregarding the fact that you were (sadly) attracted to him. Though him, as a person overall, was... questionable, you were sadly attracted to his: 1. Looks 2. (though saying his personality was trash) his personality. But, there was no way you'd admit to your hidden emotions. So you kept quiet for now.

" Going to ignore me? Not very kind, Lady ( y/n ). " The way your name rolled off his tongue was (mildly) affecting you; Your face gently heated up, and you internally hoped it was unnoticeable to Daisuke.

" Of course, I'm not actually going to interact with someone who... I virtually hate. " You lied through your teeth, hoping that he was dumb enough to believe your small lie.

" Well, ( y/n ), " Back to plain ( y/n ) again, " I really think- " Before Daisuke could finish speaking, a taupe hair coloured man ran up to you, grabbing you by the shoulders.

" ( Y/N )! YOU'RE HERE! " He yelled, surprising you. Haru was here?

" I thought you were in the first division. " You said, tilting your head to show your confusion. Haru laughed nervously, putting a hand behind his head.

" I left Division 1. It.. wasn't for me. " You could tell he was hiding something, and you didn't prompt him to say more. However, Daisuke seemed to show a vast interest in this incident.

" Tell me why. "

" Why do you need to know my personal life? "

" Tell me. "

" You don't have the rights to know. Goodbye. " Haru grabbed your arm, dragging you to the small office building, and you looked at Daisuke, who was slowly walking behind you. You had to put up... with these two arguing; You had a feeling that they'd bicker - or at least, it would be a one-sided argument - between each other, something you were not looking forward to during your assignment.

" Oh, right, the mission. " You mumbled inaudibly to yourself, eyes scanning the area. Everything appeared to be normal, the corridors seemed to be plain, painted with a boring beige colour. Every now and then, there was a plant, and you assumed it was for decoration (however, you probably needed to check it out anyway, due to the fact that, quote on quote, 'everything needed to be assessed.').

Arriving at the main office, Haru showed you a fairly empty desk. There was no computer (per your request), a small cactus, and a mug that said 'SHERLOCK HOLMES' for some reason. You sighed, taking out your government provided laptop, and placing it on the desk, powering it on. You internally hoped that no one would bother you, but Haru was an exception, as he was a close friend.

You examined the area once more, noticing a few people - A yellow haired, lanky man, another man, who had wrapped his dark hair into a bun, a pink haired lady, and a plump, light haired man. Your colleagues. Or rather, your temporary colleagues. The actual room was darkly lit, with a small couch in the far corner, a board which you assumed was for information. and a small kitchen area. Great, this was your new workplace, not your snazzy office back at main headquarters. You sighed, logging into your computer and grabbing your the hot drink you had bought before coming here. You sipped it quietly, not looking forward to what was going to happen.

" Hello, ( l/n ). " The plump man came up to you, kind smile on his face, " I'm the boss here, Yukihiro Kiyomizu. I welcome you to our department. "

" Thanks. " You muttered, looking up at the man, " Um, I already know someone here, and they can guide me. Please may I be partnered up with them? "

" Of course! I assume it's Haru Katou, as he dragged you by the arm into the office. " You nodded, opening the software on your laptop and clicking on various things that you needed, " He already has a fairly new partner, I hope you don't mind working with him. "

" Sure, whatever. So long as I'm partnered with Haru. " Kiyomizu walked away, and you carried on tapping away at your computer, invested in your work.

You got a hard prod in the shoulder, and you yelped with pain, " What was that for? "

" For ignoring me earlier on. " Lovely, it was the rich, oh-so-intelligent man that had been bothering you since you had stepped into the borders of Japan. You sighed, refusing to look at him, continuing to sip away at the hot drink and typing up certain documents - mostly the paperwork that you needed for the assignment (you definitely did not put it off until the last minute, last minute meaning to be when you were actually inside the building you were assigned to).

" Come on, at least greet me. Hello, Daisuke-Senpai! You're my idol! "

" You are NOT my senpai. If anything, I look up to Haru more so than to you. And anyway, shouldn't you be working? "

Daisuke smirked, and you grumbled under your breath, you hated the smirk (andhowattractiveitwas). " Ouch, ( y/n ). And I'm simply waiting for an assignment- " Haru was walking towards your desk, with a folder that contained an array of papers, " Here he comes. "

" Daisuke, here's the assignment we have to do. No being reckless, like last time, please. " Haru sighed, " Oh, ( y/n )! I was assigned with you! You'll have to put up with this loser, though. "

" I'm simply happy to be paired up with you, Haru. I'll put up with... him- " Pointing to Daisuke, " Anyday, for my best buddy. "

" Great! Work will be a bit more bearable with you around. "

" Let's go already, " Daisuke interrupted, seperating the two of you. You smiled politely, trying to resist the urge to hurt him in various ways (once more, you felt overly violent towards him).

" Fine. " You walked ahead, hoping to leave Daisuke behind, and Haru quickly followed behind you, attempting to catch up. This should be fun.
