Chapter 27

Dawn's POV:

We finally arrived at the hospital. Ricky and I still were helping dicky. My sister checked dicky in and they came and got him 5mins after to do some tests. I hope he's okay because I can't lose him...i just can't.

Meg: I called Katherine and she said said her and Paul will leave ASAP. Probably tomorrow or the next day.

Ricky: Okay.

Dawn: How long does this take? All they have to do is look over dicky and come out and tell us it's nothing. I mean it shouldn't be that hard.

Meg: Dawn?!

Dawn: I mean they've been in there for like two hours.

Ricky: we've only been for like 20 mins maybe 30.

Dawn: well it feels longer.

Meg: dawn?

Dawn: maybe we should just go ask them about dicky cuz I can't wait anymore.

Meg: Dawn!

Dawn: what?!

Meg: come here.

Dawn goes over to her sister.

Meg: honey I know your worried about dicky. We all are but we just got to be patient. The doctor said they'll come after they figure out what's wrong with dicky and get him a room. Okay?

Dawn: alright. I know I'm sorry I just don't want to lose him.

Meg: neither do we and we won't but we all have to be patient. Dicky will be fine. He's strong.

Dawn cries.

Meg: oh dawn.

Girls hug then Meg has the boys join in.

(An hour goes by the kids fall asleep Dawn falls asleep on my lap. And Nicky and Ricky fell asleep on each other so cute!) (Take a pic)

(The Doctor comes out).

Doctor: For Dicky Harper?

Meg: Oh that's us....guys wake up...

Doctor: hi I'm doctor Neil.

Meg: Hi I'm Meghan. Meg for short. These are my other brothers and Dicky's
quads Nicky and Ricky and Dicky's quad sister and my sister Dawn.

Doctor: It's nice to meet you all.

Dawn: Is my brother okay? Can we see him?

Doctor: We got him a room but uh.. Is there a parent I could talk to?

Meg: um... our parents they died in a car accident.

Dr. Neil: oh I'm so sorry.

Meg: it's okay. It's hard. But we are trying to get through it.

Dr. Neil: Well, is there
another adult I could talk to?

Meg: We have adoptive parents but they are away on business. I don't know when they'll be back. So to answer your question I'm the only adult here.

Dr. Neil: Ok then may I talk to you for a moment?

Meg: Sure. Guys I'll be right out. Stay here.

Ricky: okay.

(Comes Back)

The three quads stand up.

Dawn: well, how is he?

Meg: Dr. Would you mind giving us a min?

Dr. Neil: Of course. I'll be back in a few mins.

Meg: Alright come here guys.

(Tells Them).

Dawn: oh my god. That's terrible. He's 10 for crying aloud.

Meg: I know the doctors are gonna do everything they can.

Dawn: everything they can? What's that suppose to mean?

Ricky: dawn...

Dawn: don't dawn me what does that mean?

Meg: dicky needs surgery.

All 3: What?!

Meg: He needs surgery for the appendix.

Nicky: He'll be okay though right?

Meg: Ya. He'll be fine.

Dr. Neil: Meghan?

Meg: Yes?

Dr. Neil: We got dicky a room he's stable now if you want to see him. But I suggest Meg goes to see him first. He's kinda freaking out he said he wants to see you.

Meg: okay guys I'll right back once I go see him you guys can come.

Dawn: wait but that's not fair I should be able to see my brother.

Dr. Neil: I just want your sister to see him first to calm him down.

Dawn: we have waited so long.

Ricky: dawn...

Dawn: don't dawn me. I have a right to see him.

Ricky: (ricky gets up and grabs his sister by the shoulder and leads her to the chair) dawn come on.

(Dawn cries)

Nicky: It's okay Dawn.

<Dawn sits on the chair and puts her face in her hands Ricky pulls her into a hug and Nicky rubs her arm>.

Ricky: it's okay meg you go in we'll wait here with dawn.

Nicky: ya we got her.

Meg: okay. Be right back.

I left and went to go see dicky.
