Crickets chirped in the twilight, a cool breeze swaying her blood-red locks perfectly in the night. Tori breathed in and calmed her nerves, popping her fingers. Steve, her squadmate, happened to be in the same spot and decided to walk to his superior.

"Good evening, Lieutenant."

"To you too. What are you doing here?"He stayed silent, rubbing his arms when a chill air blew in their direction. "Do you remember someone who resembles me?" Confused, Tori shook her head to the sides and cocked an eyebrow at the boy's question.

"You killed my father when I still lived Underground." He smiled lightly at the redhead and stared straight ahead at the horizon, her breath hitching in realization. She formed her hands into fists and clenched them, nails digging into her palm, drawing out blood.

"Don't be sorry. He deserved it. He cheated on my mom with several prostitutes and never cared for us, not a single bit. When I heard he died, I smiled for the first time. At least he won't hurt my mom ever again and will burn in hell." He shifted around to meet a pair of grey eyes, scaring the poor boy to scurry away from the woman. Tori sighed, knowing full well who it is, turning around to face a pissed Levi.

"Why is it always you come to visit me when I'm alone, huh?"

"Shut up and cut that self-harming shit. You think I wouldn't notice your bloodied hands." He flicked her forehead and clicked his tongue, disappointed at her actions. He yanked her wrist and forced her to open her palm, gazing down at the crescent-shaped wounds on her palm.

"Levi"

"Hmm"

"Why are you short?" His once pissed reaction turned into a mad one, making Tori smirk triumphantly.

"I meant no offense. I was just wondering."

"I think you already know the answer to that." He mumbled, ruffling her hair and messing it again.

"Oh. Sorry."

"Are you bothered about Sannes' shitty statement? I'm telling you, it is not worth it."

"No, I'm not, because it's the truth- Ow! What was that for?!" He playfully smacked the back of her head, accidentally putting more force than he wanted to. The onyx haired male's eyes widened but soon closed in contentment once seeing the cute reaction of the redhead.

"Captain, Lieutenant, we're ready to go." Mikasa chirped from the doorframe and stared at the two who teased each other to no ends.

Tori grumpily handed their Captain her extra money, whining when he snatched the whole wallet. Levi checked inside for money, mouth agape when he saw the handful of money bound together by a rubber band.
