"I am sorry"

|Φ|

THE pitter-patter of our feet echoed inside the cave. I groaned in frustration when another cave opening appeared in front of us. It looks the same as before – scratch that – it looks the same as every opening that we've entered here in the cave.

"I can't believe you forgot how you entered this place. I thought pirates have a great memory. How would you travel the world and come back if you can't even remember how you get there?" I questioned him in frustration as we continued to travel in the dark.

"In case ya forgot, I've been trapped in the Isle my whole life, darling" he slurred, slinging his arm on my shoulder as he leaned his face closer to mine. Shrugging his shoulder off, I continued to walk down the pathway leading to another opening. However instead of walking. I stopped in the middle of a large cave wall when I see nothing on the way.

"Great! It's a dead end. Just what we needed. Ah!" I screamed in frustration. My voice echoed in the cave walls, shaking the ground. A large set of arms pulls me to a warm chest when the walls of the cave vibrated from my scream. Harry's arms gripped me tighter until the shaking stop a lone light appeared in the middle of the room.

My eyes glistened when I saw the light. It was enrapturing. Like the sun. I can feel my body moving towards the source.

"Erina?" someone called me from behind. But I didn't answer. I was too engrossed in the small ball of light floating mid-air. My hand extended in front of me when suddenly, my ears twitched. It was small. But I know I heard it. "Erina?"

Harry.

He called my name again, but his voice was drowned when I heard it again. Low hissing.

I moved back from the light. "Harry? Come here" I called behind me. I grasped his hand into mine when I heard it again. But this time louder. Harry tensed beside me, and I knew he heard it too. "We need to get out of here," I said, slowly pushing him backwards, towards the pathway which we entered earlier. Gyrating of metal can be heard in the darkness and the ball of light suddenly disappeared, enveloping us in darkness.

I can feel Harry pulling me closer until I was standing behind him. Only our laboured breaths can be heard. My heart stopped beating when a face appeared in the darkness letting out a piercing scream.

"RUN!"

I screamed as we both scramble backwards, running at lightning speed. "What is that?" Harry screamed and if our life wasn't in danger I would be laughing at how ridiculously red his face was from running.

"Azurkhanians! I-I remember this place!" I ducked down when a blade came slashing towards me. "I've been here before, same light, same corridor, same face!" I squealed when an Azurkhanian came skidding in front of us. Its figure towering above us at 10 feet, hair made up of branches swinging to its shoulder. We both stop, heaving deeply as we stare in horror in front of us.

I clenched my fist, readying myself when a series of giggles erupted from beside me. Growling, the Azurkhanian swung its face to look at Harry who was clutching his stomach as he bent over his knees. His face was red from laughing as he pointed toward the creature.

"Ya seriously need a facial, mate?" he said, before bursting into another fit of laughter. I stared at him in disbelief.

"You really need to check your head in the infirmary after we get back, Harry" I stated just as the Azurkhanian swung its hair and pointed its arrow in our head. I gulped down, freezing in fear. Memories from the past started bombarding my mind. Suddenly, something bright appeared in front of us, we both cover our eyes until it died down in a light hue. We both stared at the weapon in our hands. I stared at the magnificent sword in awe, its hilt glistening in gold and a ruby crest was attached to it. However, our moment in awe was cut off short as a wave of Azurkhanians appeared at every opening of the cave. I gripped the hilt tighter, changing my stance as I brought the sword forward.
