As soon as I got to Nathaniel's house I parked my car in the huge driveway like I owned the bitch I barely put my car in park when I yanked the key out of the ignition, not even waiting for the girls to get out of the car. I make my way to the front door and start to ring the doorbell frantically. It felt like an eternity waiting for this guy to open the damn door, I was close to just kicking the door down. The door quickly swung open and the wind was almost knocked out of me when I saw the hunk of a man on the other side. Where have I seen this guy before? I feel as though every thought in my head was flowing through like a million miles per second.

"Professor Evans? What are you doing here? Is this your house?" my head turns to the person asking all of those questions and to my surprise it's Natalia.

"Which one of you did I speak on the phone with?" I look back at the professor.

"It was me, so are you going to let us in anytime soon?" I don't mean to be rude but I'm just so anxious to see my best friend. I need to make sure she is in one piece. The professor looks at me with a hint of shock on his face. I mean I guess it's an appropriate response since he doesn't know me and he especially doesn't know how blunt I can be.

"Of course, my apologies, I guess I was taken by surprise that there is more than one of you here. I assumed there would only be one." he finally steps aside and we all walk into his home. The first thing that catches my eye is the two bags sitting on one of the couches.

"Were you planning on going somewhere?" he looks back at me and bites his lower lip.

"Yes, come follow me and I'll explain everything to you. After speaking with my pa-families doctor we both came to the conclusion that it probably would be best for me to take her back to my family's estate so that he can take a better look at her and possibly figure out what exactly is wrong with her." wait a minute he was planning on just taking her, he wasn't even going to run it by anybody. I mean I understand that he might not know much about her but he could have a least waited a little longer so we could have time to process everything.

"So if we wouldn't have asked, would you have voluntarily told us that you were planning to take our friend to only god knows where?" we make it to a large bedroom with a huge king-sized bed and on the right side Adeline lays there looking like sleeping freakin beauty. The only thing that is missing is the little dwarves. I rush past the professor and sit at the edge of the bed. I grab a hold of Adeline's hands...her hand is still warm so that's a good thing right? I look up at her face and then something catches my attention. I get up so I can look closer, On Adeline's neck, there are two perfect circles only a few inches apart. What the hell is that, don't tell me that this guy marked her? Does that mean that Professor Evans is her mate? I get up and turn to face the professor.

"Are you really her mate, or is this some twisted possessive macho shit." he looked at me with horror written all over his face but at the same time, I could see relief as though a huge weight was lifted off his shoulders.

"No, we are mates. I'm sorry I didn't tell you this before. I just didn't know if you guys were apart of the same lifestyle as we are. If you know what I mean." I get it, I mean I also have to make sure that I am extra careful to keep our huge secret and sometimes it gets a little hard because it's not like everyone has a sign over their head that lets us know whether they are also just human or if they are apart of our crazy world.

"I understand where you are coming from but unfortunately I just can't let you take her like that. If you are taking her then you are taking me too."

"Us too." Natalia and Jade both say in unison. I look at them and then back at Nathaniel. He has a hard look on his face but it softens just a tad and he looks into my eyes.
