Chapter 2 Promise

Ray's POV.

I grab our school bags, my phone with my headphones, my drawing/computer bag and then my coffee mug. Coby zips up his little jacket with some problems but he got it.

"L-l-lo-look I d-di-did it!" He cheered out. He claps his hands and intwin them as he looks up to me. "Good job kiddo" I ruffle his hair as I pass him his bag to hold. "Yay" he claps and grabs his bag.

"Thank you k-kiddo"
"No-no probably..... problem"

I laugh at his mistake and ruffle his hair again. He giggles he sits down so he could put his shoes on. Again with a bit struggle with getting them on and tying them up so helped him out with it. He'll get there, of course he will.

I pick him back up and got him standing, he grabs onto my legs to steady himself. I laugh at him amd he laughs with me. He hugs my legs before pulling back and went to run out side.

"Whow wait!" I went to bend over and stop him but it was to late and he ran into the door.

He falls back. I cover my mouth with my hands and giggle quietly, "You ok kiddo" I said giggling. He smiles and rubs his forehead, "Ye-ye-yeah I-I-im fine" he said giggling. "That's good" I help him up again.

"You s-s-sure your-you're ok?" I asks him, kiss his cheek.

"Yeah"

I place him to the ground again, this time he waist for thebwas wide open with both wood and screen door wide open. He carefully walks out of the house amd waits for me.

I quickly lock the door and shut the screen door. I turn again and grab his hand lightly but tight to help him down the stairs. "C-c-come on let's go" I said I make sure he doesn't fall in the process. We don't need him getting hurt again.

I held his hand until we reached the my car "Ok, s-s-so you ready k-k-kiddo?" I unlock the door, "Ye-yeah!" He happily yells out hopping up and down as he claps his hands together.

I wish I could be that happy about going to school. Gosh this year is just going be like ever other year here. I have to listen to so many people making fun of me. Especially Elena Gilbert group. Fuck they are assholes.

I pick Coby up after opening the back door and placed him into his car seat. I buckle him up quickly, his hands grasp mine and I look at him, "A-a-a-a-a-ar-are you ready?" He asks.

Fuck no! Not one bit. I'm dreading this day and then the next day and the next day and so on.

"Y-y-yes. I'm thrilled to go see m-my friends" I said.

What friends? I got none. Whenever I do try to make friends they just made fun of me or they don't know that I even live. I'm so used to it though.

"I-I-I I can't wait t-t-to meet my n-n-new fri-friends" he said. "That's good k-k-kidoo" I lean in a kiss his forehead quickly. I push back and got out of the car. In quick seconds I was in the front seat placing my car keys into the key slot and starting it up.

Time skip.

Well I did expect this, "A-a-actually c-co-could you s-s-stay wi-wi-with me. Pl-please?" He begs out with watery eyes. He sniffles and let's go of one of my legs to whip his watery and red cheeks. "I'm sorry kiddo. I-I-I I ha-have to go t-to my schoo now" I said rubing the back of his back to sooth him.

I look up to his teacher, she gives me a insuring smile. "Y-you be perfectly fine here" I said kissing his head.

Mrs. Andersen came over and crouch down to him, "Come on C-c-coby, don't you want to make s-s-some friends. Y-you were so excited in the car, what happened?" I asks him.

He tightens his grip around my legs, "Y-you a-ar-are leaving m-me" he said. "Nooo! I'll be b-back soon to pick you u-up" I said.

"You promise?" His small voice came out. "Of course k-kiddo. I-I-i'll be back I promise" I said kissing his forehead.

Thrid person POV.

Coby cries into Ray's legs still. Ray give the teacher a thin line smile, the work giving her a happy none fake smile to her.

Mrs. Andersen have seen this plenty of times, she was used to it, she thinks it's quite cute and sad scene to see but she knows that most of the kids are going to have a fun time here.

"Hey little man. Your sister will be back after her school day is done, she should be getting there so she wont be late" she said beside Coby.

Coby pulls his head away from Ray's legs and look to the lady, "Dont you want to make some friends?" She adds on.

Ray smile down to her little brother, "Yeah Coby yo-you want to make friends-"

A little girl in a dress came rushing over to them with a big smile on her face, "I'll be your friend!" She said with the biggest smile on her face.

Ray smiles at her, "S-s-see you have o-one friend a-already" she beams out.

Coby looks to his new friend and smiles at her. Ray and the work gave each other a smile knowing that everything is going to smoothly now.

"I-I-I I have to go no-now" she said, she leans in and gives him a kiss fast. Coby got on his tippy toes and hives ray a kiss on the cheek.

"I'll be ba-back I promise"
