HEY GUYS, I AM BACK WITH THE SECOND CHAPTER, IT HAS SOME HEAVY STUFF. I HOPE YOU ALL LIKE IT.

The next morning, as usual, I woke up before the Sun. Rubbing my eyes, I got out of my bed and stretched my body as much as I could. The cracking bones loosened my body and with a satisfactory smile, I went out to my terrace. The fresh air helped me in waking up completely. I saw the soft orange and pink hues filling up the sky and listened to the melodies of the birds resonating throughout the surroundings. I leaned on the parapet, thinking about yesterday; I was still over the moon with the conversation I had with my parents. I felt this sense of lightness and a kind of happiness I haven't felt before. I looked around me and felt the change in the environment, although nothing was changed, I felt different. Maybe it was my mood affecting the things around me, it seemed as if nature and I were feeding on each other's energy.

After soaking in the sunrays, I turned and went inside to get freshened up. I heard a knock on my door as I was tidying my bed. I got into the habit of doing all the small and petty tasks by myself instead of asking the maids to it. I opened the door to find one of my maids standing in front of me.

"Good morning, Your Royal Highness, I hope you slept well." Abigail greeted and bowed down.

"Good morning to you too Abigail, yes I slept well."

"Your Highness, The King, and The Queen are waiting for you at the table for breakfast. If you will kindly come with me so I could take you there." She said politely.

"Will you inform them that I will join them in a few moments, I just need to tidy up a bit." I said.

"I can help you, Your Highness." She offered.

"Thank you, Abigail, but you know I like to do these small tasks by myself, you just inform them that I will be there in a few."

She gave a small curtsy and left; soon enough, I was done too and left for the Great Hall. I hummed a tune under my breath while skipping down the stairs when I came across my Grandmother's portrait. She was an utterly beautiful woman, one of the greatest Queens of the Garfield Empire and the one I idolize. Apart from my father, she inspired me the most. Listening to her stories as a child, lit the fire of being a strong Queen just like her; I looked at the portrait and gave a little smile to greet her, I was sure that she was looking at me from above. With that, I carried on my path.

At entering the Hall, my eyes took a moment to adjust to the brightness. The light coming through the windows reflected brilliantly on the marble walls and made the room shine. The golden parts gave off an elegant glow. My father had already taken his place at the head of the table with my mother on his right. They gave me warm smiles when I sat opposite to my mother.

"Good morning Father. Good morning Mother." I greeted

"Good morning, my child. You look cheerful." My mother replied.

"Yes, today I am in a good mood." I answered.

"That is nice. What got you in such an excellent mood." My father asked.

"The conversation that we had yesterday. Which reminds me that I wanted to ask, now that you know, I prefer women over men, can I start looking for a bride instead of a groom?" Glee was evident in my voice and I could not stop the smile that crept on my face. Both of their heads snapped up at me; I could the smiles slowly turning into frowns. Their face showed nothing but confusion.

"What are you saying, Alex?" My father said in a perplexed voice.

"Yesterday we had a conversation about this, don't you remember? I told you that I am a lesbian and don't want to marry a man just for its sake."
