~~~Travis~~~
1:30.
That's what Travis' clock read. His eyes wide open, as he couldn't sleep. Connor slept way before. All his cabin mates did. Even he took a nap for an hour, but then, he just couldn't sleep. He found himself getting restless. So, he stood up and decided to go out for a stroll.
He knew how to hide from the Harpies, so he had no problem sneaking out. He slid out of the Hermes Cabin, without making any noise.
He walked around the camp for a few minutes, passing by all the cabins. There was the Iris Cabin, all colored a calm blue indicating the quite night. Then there was Hypnos Cabin, Nemesis Cabin and the Nike Cabin. He passed the Artemis Cabin after a few minutes. That Cabin was sure a beauty at night. It glowed Silver and Black at night. And Yes, glowed Black.
He crossed the Cabins and made his way towards the North Woods.
He went in the woods going, gods know where.
" The grace period has ended. Perhaps Snow had them digging through the night. As soon as the fire died down, anyway... "
A feminine voice was heard from behind a bush. Travis made his way towards the voice, unable to stop himself.
" trophies, began to suspect. At some point, they realized that they had been.." It was much more clear now. He silently slid behind a bush and craned his neck to see beyond.
Beautiful scenery was seen. The Lake, in the center, glistened as the moon's light. A crowd of nymphs, sat nearby while a girl read them from a book. Wait...He recognized that girl. That was none other than the Demeter Cabin's Head Counselor. Katie Gardener.
She was reading the nymphs a story. Something he didn't bother recognizing.
Her brown hair was tied back in a ponytail, but a few of them still covered her face. Travis decided to come out of the bush, as if not acting like a stalker. But where's the fun in that?
He was a child of Hermes, after all. Straight things didn't put up with his life.
"Boo!!!" He screamed jumping out of the bush. There was a wisp of green covering him, as all the nymphs poofed their way away.
"You're horrible, Stoll." Guess who said that?
"Oh I am? Thanks for letting me know, Katie-Kats." Travis answered.
"Why are you here, anyway?"
"Can't sleep." He stated simply.
"Oh," Katie said as she settled back down on her spot.
"So, what are you doing here?" Travis asked a moment later.
"Uh-huh." Katie just hummed in response. Travis looked up to see the girl engrossed in the book, her wild forest eyes reading every word. Wait...Wild? He really needed a grip.
"Katie. Katie-Kats. Stupido!" He scream-whispered getting bored. She ignored his voice and went on reading that crap thing. (Travis' words, Not mine! *hides from fangirls again*)
He started humming some tune, feeling his ADHD kick in. Sure he could prank Katie or something, he just didn't want to disturb Katie from her beauti - No wait, He didn't want to face the wrath of an obnoxious Demeter girl. An extremely gorgeous, charming obnoxious girl, You mean. His conscience chimed in.
"HmHmhmmmmmmHmmohmmmmmmhmmmuhmmmmmm" (I hope that's how you hum....lol) "Lalalalalaalala,
Loving can hurt, loving can hurt sometimes
But it's the only thing that I know
When it gets hard, you know it can get hard sometimes
It is the only thing that makes us feel alive
We keep this love in a photograph
We made these memories for ourselves
Where our eyes are never closing
Hearts are never broken
And time's forever frozen still
So you can keep me inside the pocket of your ripped jeans
Holding me closer 'til our eyes meet
You won't ever be alone, wait for me to come home
And if you hurt me
That's okay baby, only words bleed
Inside these pages you just hold me
And I won't ever let you go
Wait for me to come home
Love can heal, loving can mend your soul
And it's the only thing that I know, know
I swear it will get easier,
Remember that with every piece of you
Hm, and it's the only thing we take with us when we die
You can fit me Inside the necklace you got when you were sixteen
Next to your heartbeat where I should be
Keep it deep within your soul
When I'm away, I will remember how you kissed me
Under the lamppost back on Sixth street
Hearing you whisper through the phone,
'Wait for me to come home' "
He went on singing completely. You can't stop an ADHD-Ed demigod can you now?
"Wow." He heard from somewhere. That's Katie stupid. Oh! Right.
"Thank You, Thank You." He stood up and Bowed dramatically.
"And you're back." Katie sighed.
"I never went away, Babe."
"Don't ya babe me." She retorted. "But that was good, great even. When did you learn to sing?"
"You offend me. And this is TALENT, Kates. T A L E N T."
"I know how to spell Travis."
"Can you sing again?" She whispered after a second.
"What?" Travis had heard her perfectly, Hell, he could hear her voice from miles away, but he just wanted to tease her.
"Can you sing again?" She whispered a little louder.
"You really loved it," Travis spoke before he started humming again.
He settled down next to Katie and started singing. He sang repeatedly, verse after verse, line after line as if he was on a loop.
Katie's emerald eyes stared at him intensely, the whole time. It felt as if she just couldn't get enough of him. It was fueling his ego, for sure and he would surely boast about it sometimes, but now, he just wanted to spend this whatever peace with Katie Gardener, the girl he eventually would fall for.
And done!
I really had another ending for this, but it changed. I just hope it didn't come out bad!
And that Dancing with your Ghost one I promised? Well, It is a bit depressing shot, and I don't want to break the heart of my precious little readers. Just Kiddin, I saved the best for the last.
These times are already sad enough, and I didn't want to cry or make you guys cry (It's not that sad, but) So, I'll wait for the right time to rip apart your little hearts! What can I say, I learned from the best *cough**cough* Uncle Rickty *Cough* *cough*
Anyway,
Till next time, Muffinoes!!!
