The moment Andie stepped into the dungeon, The gateway started falling apart. The ground was shaking. Rocks and dirt were tumbling down from the Entarance.
-''WATCH OUT! THE ENTARANCE IS FALLING APART!'' Benjamin, One of the other volunteers yelled.
Everyone stepped back and watched in horror as their only way back on grass level fell apart, Leaving 12 People stuck in a possibly haunted dungeon. Suddenly all of the torches lit up.
-''What the actual hell is happening?'' Oliver, A man with Long-ish brown hair and a short beard asked.
-''I have no idea and i'm pretty sure nobody else has any idea either!'' Elvira yelled.
-''Oh my god, I can feel the presence of an evil spirit, Possibly a demon!'' Andie realized.
-''You know, i feel dumb for calling your beliefs and rituals stupid now, Andie'' Elvira confessed. ''Do you think you could by any chance perform a ritual to somehow make this spirit let us out?''
-''I don't know, I did bring some of my lucky crystal earrings with me just for well, Luck, But i don't have anything else with me now!'' Andie mumbled.
-''What are you talking about? We're probably going to starve here!'' Juliet, A chubby woman, About 30-40 years old, Asked the girls.
-''Uh, Nothing. We should focus on how to get food though.'' Elvira exclaimed.
-''And how are we supposed to do that? All we have for now are probably a half full pack of animal crackers our mommies gave us.'' Benjamin grunted.
Suddenly Andie heard clucking from a nearby room.
-''Hey guys can you hear that? I'm sure i heard clucking of a chicken.'' She said
-''If there were chickens here, They would be rotting skeletons by now.'' James, A man with long black hair on a ponytail, about 25 years old, said.
-''We probably should check though. Just in case'' Elvira raised her voice.
-''Is nobody acknowledging the fact that the torches just LIT UP without ANYONE even touching them?'' Said Lily, A young looking girl with short blonde hair.
The group fell silent. Lily was right. Nobody else had realized the torches litting up because of the paniced chaos while the entarance fell apart. Everyone looked at each other nervously, Like trying to see if anyone had lit them up. Nobody had though. From the distance they could hear an eerie chime, somewhat resemling a chandelier falling down.
-''To make this situation a little less creepy, we probably should introduce each other.'' A Woman with dyed magenta hair realized. ''I'll start. My name is Sarah, and i'm 28 years old.''
Elvira stepped up and said: ''My name is Elvira, and i'm 23 years old. This is my friend, Andie! She's 22.''
Andie looked at Elvira with a spark of embarrassment and awkwardness on her face.
-''H-Hi!'' Andie mumbled.
-''My name is Oliver, I am 36 Years old.'' Oliver said.
-''Hello Oliver.'' Juliet said ''My name is Juliet and I'm 32 years old.''
-''The name's Lily. I'm 18.'' Lily muttered
-''Thomas, 37.''
They chatted for a while about their families, jobs and other personal things. Sarah was right. The situation seemed a lot less scary when they weren't complete strangers to each other anymore. They decided to split up and explore the big dungeon. Andie, Elvira, Thomas and Lily walked into a room with big bookshelves and vases that had plants in them. The plants were very much alive and well, Like some spirit had taken care of them. Thomas picked up a book from one of the shelves and read the title; ''Guide to social interactions with the devil''
-''Guys, Look at this. It's apparently a guide to socializing with the devil.'' Thomas pointed.
-''That's... A little suspiciously specific don't you think guys?'' Lily asked.
-''Yeaah. It's probably from like the 17th century! Why would they need a guide for that?'' Elvira wondered.
-''It's not even dusty... What if some spirit soon to enter afterlife has been reading it?'' Andie theorized nervously.
-''Shut up Andie, you're creeping us out.'' Lily said.
Lily noticed a humanlike skull on a round, smooth, stone pedestal.
-''G-Guys? Is t-that a human skull? Guys?'' Lily asked.
-''Oh god... Yes it is.'' Thomas realized
-''Guys this place is from the 17th century. They could have done a lot of bad things here, Including executing criminals! Maybe it's just a skull of some horrible murderer or s-something.'' Elvira noted, not knowing if she believed that either.
-''You're right i guess.'' Andie mumbled, a little dissappointed her theory of spirits was dismissed.
Elvira had managed to find a map from the library and was guiding everyone through the dungeon.
-''There should be some weird chest over here'' She pointed.
There it was. A chest with some weird gems scattered around the floor in front of the chest.
-"It looks like some- Puzzle? I don't really know" Thomas realized.
He tried pulling the lid of the chest open but the chest was locked.
-''Wait, I think we need to solve the puzzle to open the chest.'' He realized.
-''I'm good at puzzles!'' Elvira announced.
She stepped in front of the chest, starting to assemble the puzzle piece by piece. Not too long after, She was finished and the lock opened with a small click. Elvira lifted the lid and revealed a bag full of shiny golden coins.
-''Coins? What are we supposed to do with coins?'' Elvira asked
-''Well that was a waste of time.'' Thomas grunted.
Elvira left the bag in the chest but Andie slipped it into her backpack. Nobody knows if they'd need it later. Then she caught up with the others, who had already continued on their way.
They had wandered around the halls of the dungeon for about 20 minutes, but they had seemed like hours. Andie noticed a weird glowing symbol on the floor. Resembling one of those used to summon a demon.
-''Guys! Look at this! Quick!'' Andie yelled.
-''What is it that's so impo- Woah.'' Thomas said gazing at the symbol as it slowly faded away.
The group went on on their wander a little creeped out by the symbol on the floor. They arrived into a room with the walls made out of a shiny white brick. Andie saw something from behind a decorative houseplant bush. Something that looked like a... Human leg... Andie felt cold sweat running down her back and shivers on her spine. She slowly walked up to the plant to uncover a dead, burnt corpse of a man who had introduced himself as William Jones.
