The scream startled both of the girls and they were instantly wide awake. Elvira quickly pulled the chair and table barricades out of the way and the girls rushed outside. They found Juliet's dead body from the main room. Everyone who wasn't dead or busy, was gathered around her body. Andie and Elvira started explaining what had happened to them and their theories of a good spirit providing them with food and light.
-''Why would a spirit provide us with food? Ghosts don't exist. Deal with it. The food is probably inedible too.'' Thomas cut Andie off.
-''James, Shut up. Andie clearly knows what she's doing and Elvira was there to prove it.'' Benjamin defended them. ''Explain their injuries and bruises too!''
-''Thanks Ben.'' Elvira thanked.
The girls went back into the library to try and find more information about the possible spirits or demons of the dungeon. Andie was looking through the bookshelf and suddenly her hand hit something. There was a book behind the other books. She dug the book out and wiped the dusty cover with her sleeve, revealing a title, ''Spirits and demons and how to interact with them''
-''Well isn't this convinient.'' Andie mumbled.
-''What is it? Some guide to bring people back to life with peanut butter and bath salts?'' Elvira asked jokingly.
-''Some guide for interacting with spirits and demons i guess.'' Andie said.
She flipped the pages and read the book out loud:
''Demons, Not to be mistaken with devils, are beasts which usually are found from the underworld. On the overworld, they cannot practice physical interaction with objects, unless they're inhabiting a living, sentient host such as a human or an animal. They usually keep a human form, unless they're attacking their prey. Any soul killed by a demon, cannot reach afterlife in heaven, regardless of how they lived their life, but will suffer in hell for eternity. If you suspect that someone or something is inhabited by a devil, The only way to free the host is by killing them. This way their soul can have eternal peace, if they lived their life well.''
-''Well that's.. Bad. William and Juliet can't have peace if this is the case.'' Elvira muttered
-''Sadly, yeah.'' Andie answered.
-''For now we have to just try to find who the demon is and avoid them.'' Elvira said.
Andie's side hurt. She pulled her shirt up and slightly touched the painful spot. It felt like a burning sledgehammer had slammed through her ribcage, shattering it like glass. She quickly pulled her hand away. She had probably broken a rib when she was in the barrel, thrown into the wall.
-''AGH! My side, I think i broke a rib or something, UGH.'' She complained.
-''Oh no! I don't think there's anything we can do right now though, I'll give you a ride to the ER when we get out of here.'' Elvira promised.
-''Thanks.'' Andie replied.
The girls walked outside and back to the dining room. The saucy chicken was still on the plates. Elvira walked up to the same chicken she had eaten before and reached her hand towards it, but pulled it back. Andie glanced at the shattered barrell she was in a day ago. Her head started aching again and her ears ringing. She grabbed Elvira's arm and gestured her to leave immediately. Elvira no longer had any suspicions about Andie's beliefs or skills to sense when spirits are around. They ran to a nearby room with a big heavy door. In the room there was a water pump and a sink. Beside the wall there was a stack of barrells. Andie gestured towards them. They quickly helped themselves into the barrells and heard scratching coming from the door. the agressive grunting and scratching on the door stopped but with a crash. Elvira peeked out of the barrell to see the same, 10 feet tall monster. She quickly pulled the lid back on but the creature had already seen her. It walked to the barrell, but soon there were heavy running footsteps from behind. Human footsteps. Andie raised the lid and glanced outside. All she saw was the creature, a demon, right beside the barrell she was in.
-''KYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA..!''Benjamin screamed as he stabbed a long knife through the creature's back. The creature did not seem to care about a knife in it's back. Benjamin pulled the knife out as he watched the creature slowly take a human form. He was shocked to see Oliver. He had trusted Oliver from the very start, They were considered friends. Oliver tried to run but realized there were multiple witnesses. He couldn't escape, or make up a lie, without three peoples' objections. Benjamin raised up the knife with a spark of sadness in his eye. He leaned close to Oliver and whispered in his ear: ''Goodbye, friend'', And plunged the knife in his heart. Benjamin looked at the corpse of his supposed friend, and shed a tear. Andie stepped out of the barrell and helped Elvira out. Andie could see a spirit flowing out of the dead body of their fellow friend. She couldn't help but feel bad for Benjamin. He was the closest to Oliver and considered him a friend. She sat next to him and explained that now his soul could have eternal peace. Benjamin stood up and wiped his tears on his sleeve. He smiled at them. Andie then realized that he saved them. If Benjamin hadn't been nearby, they could have gotten their souls eaten by a demon-human hybrid. Andie was grateful. Very grateful
-''Thank you so much, Benjamin! We could have gotten eaten by that thing!'' Elvira thanked, as she hugged Benjamin.
-''Ehehe... It's no big deal. I take care of my... Friends...'' Benjamin said, as he smiled at the girls, still processing what happened and what he just did, in his head.
-''It is a big deal! We owe you big time!'' Elvira demanded.
Thomas was in the library. He was hungry. He hadn't eaten for days. He felt nauseous and his head ached. The others ate up what they were provided by ''A magical fairy godmother'', but Thomas didn't believe in those things, though. He knew he was going to starve. He just didn't know when.
