Chapter 9

(Zoe's P.O.V)
"So, it's great to see you guys but where's Mitch ?". Everyone stopped their conversations and Ty,Sky, Brice and Seto looked at me with a horrified expression. I gave them all confused looks and Ty stepped up and took my hand.
"Uh, you might wanna sit down. Now that everyone's here, might as well explain why." I sat on the couch next to Shelby and she held my hand.
"So, about two days after Shelby and Zoe left to Wisconsin, Skylar was taken" sky started. Everyones expressions were changing into sorrowful ones. "Soon after her absence Mitch and Jerome were taken.".
"What!" I stood up, Shelby's hand flinging out of mine. Tears welled up in my eyes. "Why wasn't I told about this!?"
"That's why we're telling you about it now" Seto said calmly. Shelby pulled me back down into her arms but I struggled. Weak, from exhaustion, I couldn't get out of her arms.
"B-but don't you think I should be the first to know. You at least could of warned us to be careful. Melody got taken cause of this shit. We should of never let her go alone" A few tears fell down the curves of my cheeks and I hid my face in Shelby's shoulder so they wouldn't see.
"She has a point. About her knowing first and that you should of warned us. I'm surprised no one else is gone" Husky said.
"Your right. We're sorry" Ty surrendered, standing up and hugging me and Shelby in an awkward position.
"It's ok, we forgive you" i mumbled, turning around to hug Ty back.
"There's more" Seto said "we think we know who took them. His name is Ryan, or xRPMx. But there's a problem. He's not in this dimension. He's in one of our video games. Minecraft"
"Now how is that even possible?" Jason asked.
"You see, there's a thing called tears. There like portals into different dimensions. We're guessing he opened one into minecraft, figuring he could hide there. We think he's there cause how else would he know about Skylar or Melody. He has to be watching us in some way and threw our computer screens is the perfect way."
"Well how do we open one then?"
"It's very complicated but over the past few weeks, Seto has got a few parts ready. The rest is up to our little magic elves" Brice said.
"Idiot, you have powers to" I insulted him and Brice pouted. I stood up and followed Seto into the basement, which I have never seen. I bet my wallet that it's full of potions and stuff.
He led up down the stairs and yup, there goes my wallet. It was plain, a bookshelf in the corner and a few lights here and there. A mini couch and refrigerator sat against the wall and I gave Seto a confused look. He walked up the the book case and skimmed his fingers along the edges of the books until he stopped and pulled one out. The bookshelf moved and a small door was revealed. He opened it with a key that hang around his neck and ducked to get threw the hole. I followed and hey, I want my wallet back. A large brewing stand took up most of the right corner and there were lots of shelves full of potions. But what caught my eye was the middle of the room. White chalk edged out a symbol in the floor and it was like a star. Like lucifers star but slightly different. There was small objects on each of the corners. A piece of burnt wood, a glass of water, some dirt, a small jar with nothing in it, and another jar with a little plant in it. Finally there was a little cage, and by little I mean maybe the size of my foot. Something was banging on the walls inside of it and I knelled down to it until Seto pushed me away.
"Don't open that, it's dangerous. Dark magic elves are inside" he whispered. The rest of the guys tumbled into the room and they stared at the star. "Everyone please get by your objects. Ty, yours is the cage and I think you can figure the rest out."
"Why is mine just a glass jar?" Jason asked and Seto laughed.
"There's air inside it, duh" he said it like it was the most obvious thing in the world. I rolled my eyes and sat on one of his office chairs.
"Each one of your objects is magical, please do not touch it. It was a pain in the ass to get all of it" Brice said sternly. "Sky, would you like to do the part. Since we both have the same powers, I thought you would wanna do it". Sky nodded and stood by the small plant.
"Jesus, you must have no social life to be getting all this done." I said and Seto rolled his eyes.
"So I need you guys go shoot you powers to the point above your item.... Right here. It should open the tear but don't stop when it opens unless I say to" they all nodded and Seto, Brive and I stood behind the long table near the star.
"3, 2, 1 go!" Seto yelled and they all shot their powers into the correct spots. I watched in awe as Shelby's point of the star lit up, the Skys, then husked and so forth until the star was lit up in all kinds of powers. A small... I don't know what it was but it looked like a lightning bolt. And then it vanished, and the lights disappeared.
"Why isn't it working?" Shelby asked.
"You guys can stop" Seto said and before they had time to walk away, it exploded and sent all of us flying into the walls
