"Graduation and awards night is coming up. I am very proud of this class. Several of you will be recognized for your achievements throughout the year" Cory started his lesson
"Awards are a scam, Matthews, a girl like me never stood a chance" Maya exclaimed
standing up
"Fine I'll do it, but it's ridiculous" Riley said before standing up "awards are a scam, Matthews, a girl like her never stood a chance"
"Aria, you didn't do it" Maya said and I just shrugged
"Maya will be receiving the Griff Hawkins Totally Cool Award" Cory said, maya just sat down and didn't react
"Maya, you just won the totally cool award, yet you just sit there... ohhhh your being cool. Why won't you rub off on me?" Riley said
"And our three finalists for the Scholar Athlete Award are... Nathan Wood...Lucas Friar... and Billy Ross" Cory said as everyone clapped
"I hope your ready for some competition" Billy said
"Oh well you know I hate competition" Lucas said they both laughed then glared then laughed
"Yeah I'm not a part of that" Nathan said sitting back
"Hey, Golden Boys, you wanna hop down from your cloud of awesomeness? You're making us normals feel bad" maya said
"Yeah. Right after our handshake of awesomeness" Billy said as they Both stood up and did their hand shake
"Girls should have their own handshake of awesomeness" Riley said
"What would it be?" Maya asked. Both of them crossed their leg and flicked their hair
"Stop it" they said simultaneously
"Ari, why didn't you join in?" Riley whined. But I ignored them
"Farkle, you are being awarded the Joseph T.R. Epstein Confidence Award. Congratulations" Cory said Farkle smiled in return "and Arianna, you will be receiving the John Quincy Adams talent award"
"Is that a joke?" I asked
"What?" Cory asked
"Are you making fun of me?" I asked
"Arianna-Grace" Nathan said seriously. I just stood up and walked out of the classroom.

I sat in the Janitor's Closet, Janitor Harley was stood looking at me sadly.
"You have to face them at some point" he said
"Not yet" I shrugged "I don't want to face this at all"
"You have to" Harley said
"You think I'm hiding out, don't you? Well, I don't hide out from anyone..." I trailed off
"You're avoiding someone, what happened?" Harley asked
"I don't really think it's something you can relate to, Janitor Harley" I sighed
"Oh, right, because I would never understand how cruel kids could be to each other, right?" Harley said sarcastically
"You went through this as a kid?" I asked
"I just know what you might be dealing with is all. I'm not proud of how I know but I know" he sighed, "come on" he grabbed my hand pulling me up before pushing me out the door
"No" I whined as I was pushed in front of all my friends
"Troubled lass, I now release you to the hands of your caring friends, 'cause they... have time for this" Harley said before leaving
