Author: Are you awake?
Jacob: Now I am. It's bloody three o'clock in the morning! Everyone else is asleep.
Author: Exactly.
Jacob: What are you saying?
Author: Did you ever scare Evie or Henry? As a prank?
Jacob: I don't quite follow...
Author: I mean a "trick."
Jacob: I scared Evie. Once.
Author: How?
Evie: When Evie and I were six or seven years old, I climbed outside her window at night and tapped at it. It had gone on for perhaps two weeks. Poor Evie was scared out of her mind!Then one morning, I told her it might've been a ghost haunting her. That night, she did not dare close her eyes, and waited for the "ghost" to appear. When I went to do my routine that night, she screamed for Father. I swear, the man scolded me until the sun rose!
Author: That gives me an idea...
Author: Do you want to do a dare?
Jacob: You have my attention.
Author: I dare you to scare both Evie AND Henry by pretending you are a ghost.
Jacob: Happy to oblige.
Two hours later...
Author: Jacob, you there?
Author: Jacob?
Author: Crap! I sent him to his death!
Jacob: I am still alive.
Author: Phew. What happened?
Jacob: Evie and Greenie did not receive the trick well. Evie had knocked me unconscious, and both had been apparently lecturing me while I was knocked out.
Author: Sorry to hear that.
Jacob: *smirks* The look on both of their faces was priceless!
Author: That must have been pretty funny!! Alright, I think I should be going...I need to write my findings down for them...but thanks again!
